Expert Reply:

With a trailer 27 feet long and weighing 5,000 pounds you would benefit from sway control. We have different types of sway control systems you can add to your system. The easiest to add would be a friction bar like # 83660. Since your trailer is 27 feet long, using 2 bars, one on each side, would be beneficial, but you could always start with one and see if that suits your needs.

If you had a Reese system with spring bars that have the cam ends, using the Dual-Cam system, # RP26002 would be the best way to go.

I have included some links to installation details and videos for you to view.
