Question:
Why is118551 better, then 56160? I want the better of the two,not the cheaper of the two.

If I were choosing between the Tekonsha harness, # 118551 and the Curt wiring harness, # C56329 for a 2007 Ford Edge, I would go for the 118551. Tekonsha has been in the wiring business longer, they have great support, and they work well if you take care of them (make sure to keep the 4-Way clean, store it in the vehicle when not in use, stay within the amperage limits).
The Curt harness will work, it is not an inferior product, it is just that Tow Ready has more of a pedigree than Curt. Both parts have excellent ratings.
I have included a link to the installation details for the Tow Ready harness and a link to a video showing a typical installation. I have also included an FAQ on routing the power wire that you may find useful.
