my jeep jl doesnt have the factory trailer package and has led lights so there is no 12volt on the brake pedal. so how can i hook up a brake controller?

Since your 2018 Jeep JL Wrangler Unlimited doesn't have the factory tow package you will need to start off with 4-Way wiring like the recommended Tekonsha T-One # 118786. Once you have that installed there are a few options for you.

You can either install the 7-Way RV Upgrade Kit # ETBC7L which only adds 12V power to the 7-Way and allows you to use the Curt Echo # C51180 brake controller with an Apple or Android smart device, or you can install the Universal Installation Kit # ETBC7 for a fully functional 7-Way and then use the Stop Light Switch Kit # RM-751490 to get the stop light signal for a more traditional brake controller like the Prodigy P3 # 90195.

Either way, I have attached some sample videos for you to check out. The one for the Prodigy P3 shows the ETBC7 kit being installed as well.
