Today we're going to be taking a look at The Boss from Saris. It's a Freestanding Bike Storage Rack for 1 bike, Part Number SA6014. This low-profile storage stand let's you hold one bike upright in your home or office. Rubber-coated fingers hold your bike from it's rear axle, avoiding any damage to the frame or the storage stand. The built-in cradle brackets support your rear wheel for stability. It's a sturdy steel construction with a white powder coat finish, and it's going to hold a wheel size of all the way up to 29 inches. It's lightweight and easy to transport on daily commutes.
Simply folds down for storage, and you can take it with you if you need to. Once you get to your destination we'll simply fold it out. Make sure our slide is all the way up and out of the way, and we'll slide it back down in the locking position. Then we can grab our bike, and then set it in place. Holds bikes with 20" - 29" wheels.I received the first bike storage stand in the factory supplied box which was unfortunately damaged by UPS. When I opened the box, the stand had a crushed support leg and was noticeably beat up. No worries, I contacted etrailer the same day and they arranged to reship, along with instructions on shipping the damaged unit back to etrailer. I received the second stand within 4 days. This time, the stand was in the manufacturer’s box and placed within an etrailer shipping box. The result was a damage-free bike stand. The stand works perfectly supporting my expensive mountain bike and the ingenious folding design will allow me to transport it and use it at any campsite with ease. The unit is well-made, particularly the powder coat and balance of the stand. I have tried it outside in a 20mph wind and it held my bike perfectly upright. If you own a high-end bike, you may want to consider this Saris stand. I want to also say that etrailer stands behind the products they sell and their Customer Service is fantastic!
I use the stand to hold a classic track bike as an exhibit. The minimalist look is great for this. I'll be getting another one for my road bike because it is light, easy to mount the bike and easy to transport.
