How long is the unthreaded part of this hitch ball?

The total length of the shank on the Convert a Ball Interchangeable Ball part # 105TB is 3-1/2 inches and the threaded portion is 3 inches so the unthreaded portion is 1-1/4 inch at the base of the flange and then 1/2 inch below the threads.
