Expert Reply:
If your 10-foot dump trailer was made with a 3500-lb axle you cannot double its weight capacity just by swapping out the leaf springs to higher-rated ones.
Any trailer's rated weight capacity depends on all of the component parts used to fabricate it. These include the trailer frame, the dump bed itself, the axle and suspension and even the specific hubs, wheels and tires on it. Changing one of these components to another with a higher rating does NOT mean that the entire trailer now has that capacity. It just means that the one item you changed out has a higher capacity.
Leaf springs should be selected to match both the axle weight rating and the dimensions of the suspension setup, meaning the spacing between spring hangers. The double-eye springs we offer for 3500-lb axles appear on the page I linked for you. These are available in several lengths, which are measured from eye to eye. The lengths range from 23-1/4-inches to 27-inches like # SP-210275. The spring you referenced, part # e27SR, is rated for 4500-lb axles and measures 26-inches long.
If you want to replace your worn springs keep in mind that once you remove one from the suspension to measure its length if it is very worn it may have become elongated. Worn springs can measure as much as 1/2-inch longer than when they were new since they tend to flatten out over time.
