Recommended Trailer Hitch and Wiring for 2015 Chevy Cruze
Question:
I am looking to tow a single snowmobile trailer and one sled the weight would be approximately 1000 pounds total. I have a 2015 Chevy Cruze , would this be a safe set up ? itll most likely be myself as the only occupant in the car. What hitch and wiring harness recommendations would you have for me thank you.

I took a look at the owner's manual for a 2015 Chevy Cruze and it was ambiguous concerning if your vehicle can tow a trailer.
On one page it has tips for towing a trailer; on another page it says "The vehicle is neither designed nor intended to tow a trailer." Immediately after that it explains that the maximum a trailer should be is 1,000 lbs but possibly less depending on things like if you are going up steep hills.
The owner's manual also states you will need to locate the statement "The combined weight of occupants and cargo should never exceed XXX kg or XXX lbs." on your vehicle’s placard. I strongly recommend looking at your owner's manual and this placard to determine the total capacity for your Cruze.
If you do decide to tow I recommend the Draw-Tite # 24882 because they have a strong reputation for making high-quality, durable trailer hitches. This hitch has a 200 lb tongue weight capacity and 2,000 lb towing capacity though you must go by the towing capacity of your Cruze.
For trailer wiring the best option is the T-One Vehicle Wiring Harness with 4-Pole Flat Trailer Connector # 118508 because it easily plugs into connection points in your Chevy's trunk; you will only need to run a hot lead to your battery to complete the rest of the installation.
The recommended ball mount for this hitch is the Draw-Tite Drawbar # 3593; it includes a hitch pin but you will also need either 2" Hitch Ball # 19258 or 1-7/8" Hitch Ball # 19256 depending on your trailer's coupler.
I have added a photo showing what this hitch looks like when installed on a '15 Cruze as well as links to install videos of the hitch and wiring for you to check out.
