Yes, the Draw-Tite Class I - 1-1/4" # 24882 will work well for you, assuming your Verano is not a Turbo or Dual Exhaust model. This hitch will support a hauling gross trailer weight (GTW) of 2,000 lbs. It's a good idea to check your owner's manual for your Verano to ensure the weight of your cargo trailer does not exceed your Verano's hauling limit.
For the best experience in pulling a cargo trailer with your Verano, I also recommend the T-One Vehicle Wiring Harness # 118564 , the Draw-Tite Drawbar for 1-1/4" Hitch # 3593 , and a 2" Hitch Ball # 19258
For a cost effective item to protect your receiver tube when the hitch is not in use, you might also consider our etrailer Rubber Hitch Cover # 22281.
