If you only have a 4-Way on your 2015 Ford Edge SEL, like the Curt # C56272 or Tekonsha # 118669, then the wiring that you need is the Kit # ETBC7. This connects to your 4-Way and provides both 4-Way and 7-Way connectors that are fully functioning.
You will need a brake controller to send a signal back to the brakes on your boat trailer. We actually have an installation video of the ETBC7 kit and the popular Prodigy P3 # 90195 brake controller being installed on a 2016 Ford Edge that you can reference.
I recommend going with the P3 not just because you can follow along with the installation video, but because this is a great brake controller that features a screen for ease of use. This product has received high praise from our customers which you can see on the product page.
Attached is the installation video that I referenced as well as some helpful articles for the ETBC7 kit. Be sure to disconnect any wiring between your Ford Edge before backing your boat trailer into the water.
