Troubleshooting Husky Brute Electric Trailer Jack That is Clicking
Question:
My jack worked fine last time I used it now it just clicks when I push the toggle up or down. It start moving very slowly a couple of times but then stops. I checked the battery it was good. I replaced the connector to the battery as it was corroded. Still only clicks.

If your Husky Brute Electric Trailer Jack is only making a clicking noise and you have checked the power source there are a couple of other issues that may be occurring. Start by checking your ground connection to ensure it is secured to a clean, bare metal surface free of any type of paint or corrosion. The other issue may be that you have a bad switch that needs replacing. (Try electronic shop for replacement.)
It is also possible that the jack was overextended or retracted and there has been damage to the nut and screw and at that point your only option would be to replace the entire jack.
I think the best value for an A-frame tongue jack is the Stromberg Carlson # SC63VR which is rated for 4500 pounds of tongue weight. This is 1000 pounds more than other models, and even though you may not need this much capacity, you will find that the jack motor runs quick and effortlessly. This will add years to its life. This jack also has a unique clutch that prevents damage from overextending or retracting the jack foot - the most common reason for jack failure. I also like that is has a generous 23" lift, including a time-saving drop-foot. It includes LED lights for operating the hitch in the dark, and a built-in bullseye leveling bubble.

My jack is getting worse and worse. I redid all my connections, ceck my ground connection. Still only clicks. However, in manual mode, the electrical system works both on the remote control and directly on the jack.

I am having the same issue. The clicking got worse to the point it stopped moving. I pulled the cover off and when I pushed in on the relays, it works. Tried it both up and down while pushing the relays in. Let go of the relay, and it stops moving, and back to the clicking. So the clicking is either a bad connection to the board or the relays are bad. I'm leaning towards the board separating. I tried soldering them back to the board, but no help. So is the circuit board available?
