What Size Board Does CE26244G Bunk Board Bracket Fit

It says that the bracket is designed for 6inch or 8inch wide bunk boards however mine is 2x4 inch board. Shouldnt this still work with 4inch wide boards? Thanks

You probably could make 2x4 bunks work on the CE Smith V-Wing Bolster Bracket # CE26244G but ideally you are going to want to use the taller boards like a 2x6 or 2x8.
