Why Does the Length of the Camper Matter When Using Brophy Camper Tie Downs to Install a Camper

Wouldnt the weight of the camper be more of a factor in whether these would hold, than the length? I have a camper with an over cap extension that makes it longer than 8 foot, but the bed part is only 8.

I spoke with my contact at Brophy and he said that its more about the location of the weight of the camper instead of just overall weight. He also stated that most likely the Camper Tie Down # TDSF would not be the component that would break, but the vehicle would see damage to the stake pockets.

The part #LC182906-182971 from Happijac is a set of front and rear tie downs so with this part number you'd have tie downs covered for all 4 corners of the truck.

I checked with my contact at Lippert and he tells me that the #LC149557 is different from a standard phone cord since it is designed to work with logic boards that are specific to HappiJac components.

I'm assuming your 2024 F-250 has the 6-3/4' bed. If that is correct, the right tie-downs are in fact the #TLF3008 and #TL77CR. TorkLift has accounted for the bed access steps on the 2024 model and confirmed these will fit your truck.
