Recommend Hangers, Shackle Straps, and Bolts for Equa-Flex Cushioned Equalizers # LC279688

Question:

I would like to install these Equa Flex equalizers on a trailer rebuild I am doing and am wondering what length axle hangars I should get for the front, center, and rear to make the geometry correct as there are none currently installed on the trailer. Also what length shackles should I use? I would be installing these on a set of 6000 lb axles with 1.75” x 25.25” double eye leaf springs. I was also looking to get some insight as to whether I can use a wet bolt setup with these components as well? Thank you.

For a center hanger you will want something that isn't too tall because equalizers # LC279688 are quite tall compared to regular equalizers. Hanger # 115918 is what I would go with.

The front and rear hangers would need to be taller than the center so I recommend # E4139. Then for shackle straps I recommend # TRSL313. This should get you right about level.

So you will need:

2 of hanger # 115918
4 of hanger # E4139
8 of shackle strap # TRSL313
14 of wet bolt and nut # 126B2

The Equa-Flex Cushioned Equalizers # LC279688 with bronze bushings can use wet bolts such as # 126B2.
