Frame Hanger Recommendation for Weight Distribution System on Trailer with 8 inch Tall Frame

Question:

The A-frame on my trailer uses large channel, about 8 inches high I will go measure it later. Is it considered safe to drill the A Frame and permanently mount the brackets for an equalizing hitch? It looks like most of the adjustable brackets only go to 6 inches. Thank you,

We have weight distribution frame hangers designed for your exact application. For a Reese WD system we have the part # RP58305 which will bolt to the side of the trailer frame for the chains to attach to.

Yes I believe you are right. Chain hangers #RP58305 would be the way to go. You will need to use the trailer jack to be able to hook up or remove the spring bars but otherwise they are the perfect solution.
