Chain Hanger Recommendation for Trailer with Battery Box Above Frame Rails

I have a drawtite 1000 distribution system. I just bought a new trailer that has a battery box and cant transfer the original connectors. I need something I can weld or bolt on. Any help would be appreciated. Im not really wanting to buy a whole new weight distribution system for this trailer.

We have just what you would need. The Chain Hangers part # RP58305 that you referenced are actually exactly what you would need. These will allow you to install chain hangers on your trailer and would not require you to have clearance above the frame of it.

I attached a picture that shows these hangers being used in a similar application.

Yes I believe you are right. Chain hangers #RP58305 would be the way to go. You will need to use the trailer jack to be able to hook up or remove the spring bars but otherwise they are the perfect solution.

Reese recommends that when you install the bolt on chain hangers part #RP58305 that they sit 1/4 inch down from the top of the frame if the frame is a box frame or 1/2 inch down if it's a c-channel. It is important you follow these instructions.…
