Will Draw-Tite Trailer Hitch Block Liftgate Sensors on 2017 Infiniti QX60

Question:

I had this same hitch on my old 2014 QX60. We traded it in for a 2017 QX60 which comes with sensors for lifting the back gate door. These are the ones that allow you to open the gate by passing your foot in front of one of these sensors. Would the hitch block the sensors? Are there any options if that happens?

The Draw-Tite Max-Frame Trailer Hitch Receiver # 76031 referenced in your question is indeed confirmed to fit both your previous 2014 Infiniti QX60 and your new 2017 QX60. When the hitch is installed in your new vehicle, you will still be able to operate the liftgate features on the vehicle. You will simply need to pass your foot to either side of the hitch receiver so the sensors can detect your movement.

In order to install your existing hitch onto the vehicle, I recommend using new hardware with # RHK. Once on the product page, you will just need to enter the product number (76031) in the Hitch Item Number box, along with selecting the manufacturer (Draw-Tite). We will then assemble the correct mounting hardware kit for this particular hitch. The hardware is only designed for one time use, so you will not want to use the hold hardware from your 2014 QX60.

I have included the installation details for you to check out.
