Recommended Roof Rack for a 2017 Volkswagen Tiguan with Side Rails
Question:
What roof rack system should I get for a 2017 tiguan with a sunroof and longitudinal rails? I have a force L cargo box that I will be using with it. Can I open the the sunroof with the roof rack attached? How about when I put my force L cargo box on as well? I like the looks of the aeroblade system.

For your 2017 Volkswagen Tiguan, I recommend the Thule WingBar Roof Rack, # TH711200 in silver or # TH711220 in black. The bars mount to your factory rails using the Evo raised rail feet, # TH710401.
This Thule rack is confirmed to fit the side rails on your 2017 Tiguan and the Thule Force XT Cargo Carrier, # TH6357B, is confirmed to mount to the WingBar bars. This Thule rack with the WingBars will have an aerodynamic design that provides less air drag for a quiet ride.
The Thule foot pack can also be upgraded with the Thule One-Key System Lock Cylinders, # TH450600. Adding these locks will help deter theft of the bars. The locks will only need one key for all four locks. The locks will include 2 lock keys and 1 master key.
