RoadActive Suspension Enhancement Recommendation for 2016 Ford F-350 for Towing Camper

Question:

I noticed on specs it says I have to remove overload spring to install the road master 3611. If so This kinda defeats the purpose I would think .

For fifth wheel towing it really is going to depend on the weight of your trailer whether you would want the standard duty RoadActive Suspension Kit part # RAS3611-S or the HD version part # RAS3611-SLHD.

One big factor to consider is whether or not you have a dually axle. If that's the case the only fit is the HD version I mentioned part # RAS3611-SLHD which most likely would be best fit since fifth wheel trailers can be pretty heavy.

If you have a lighter trailer relative to the towing capacity of your truck and a non-dually the standard duty part # RAS3611-S is the best option.

The factory overload spring of your truck would need to get removed to install the RAS, but with this kit you basically are installing a much stronger and better designed overload spring so it makes up for it and "then some." I attached a picture I took from the instructions that show this portion of the instructions.
