Installing the Curt Custom-Fit Wiring Harness # C56158 on a 2015 Honda CR-V
Question:
Ive heard that trying to splice the trailer wiring into existing wiring like shown on the installation video can cause problems for the existing wires. Specifically, overloading the existing power lines by trying to take power from them. Will this wiring kit cause that issue, or does the extra fuse solve this problem?

The Curt T-Connector Vehicle Wring Harness, # C56158, is designed to bypass pulling electric from your 2015 Honda CR-V's lighting wiring and get power directly from the vehicle's battery.
The T-Connector harness includes a powered light converter that senses when the vehicle's lights are in use and then pulls electricity from the battery to send this signal to the trailer lights. The converter will take the stress off of your vehicle's lighting circuit and the extra fuse is wired on the power wire from the battery incase there is an overdraw on the circuit.
This harness is a plug and go style harness, so no splicing into the vehicle's wiring will be necessary.
The linked installation instructions toward the bottom of this page can give you more information on wiring the harness in your vehicle.
