Weight Distribution System Recommendation for 2017 Stryker Toy Hauler

Question:

I have 14 ram 3500 and 2017 stryker toy hauler that is 37 feet long and weight up to 14000 lbs. I have equilizer 4 point WD right know that is only rated for 12000lb I have used but dont feel safe with so I have been looking at the new WD and not sure which one is best. Pricing is not my worry. I have put my treyx 4 in but have not fully loaded the trailer. The truck does have 6 inch lift that I have bought the shank 90-02-4400 to level the trailer which helped level the trailer.

The best way to pick out a weight distribution system is to base it off of the loaded tongue weight of the setup when it is loaded and ready to tow. This figure also includes the weight of any cargo behind the rear axle of the tow vehicle. I attached a help article on determining tongue weight for you to check out as well. You will want the loaded tongue weight of your setup to fall right in the middle of the tongue weight range of the system you use.

Considering the weight of your trailer the best setup we have for it would be the Strait Line part # RP66075. This system has a tongue weight range of 1,000 to 1,700 lbs and features the only sway control that works to fight sway before it starts. The total overall trailer capacity of the system is 17k also.

For a shank we have the part # RP54998 which has a 16k capacity and then for a hitch ball we have the # 63840.
