Hi, everybody, Andy here with etrailer.com. And today, we're gonna take a real quick look at this Thule Replacement Plastic Strip. This is going to replace one plastic strip for your Thule Evolution Cargo Box and EasySnap Mount Kit. Now, I went ahead and measured this before our time together just to give you the further confidence that this is going to work for you. So the overall length from end to end, we're sitting right at 21 1/2 inches long and then the width is 11/16 of an inch wide. Now, this strip is exactly like the one that you are needing to replace.
It is directly from Thule. This is their direct replacement. So what that means for you is that you can trust that it's going to fit right in place of your original, and you're not gonna have to worry about compatibility issues, fitment issues, or anything like that. - Are Slide Strips Supposed to be Glued Down in the Thule Cascade XT Cargo BoxThe long plastic strips in the EasySnap Mounting hardware are part # TH05308. They are often called slide strips and as such they are not meant to be permanently glued down because then the feet would not be able to slide. If there is glue residue left in the box I recommend using a product such as Goo Gone to clean it off before using the new strips.
