Does 2011 f150 come prewired to in stall the 7 pin trailer plug

The 2011 Ford F-150 should have come with either a factory 4-Way or factory 7-Way trailer connector. To upgrade from a 4-Way to a 7-Way you will need # 37185.
If you follow the factory 4-Way wiring under the truck you will see where it plugs into another harness. The wiring for this other harness will have a 12 volt power wire and an output wire for trailer brakes. Pull back the protective covering over the wiring for this forward connector to find them.
The power wire should be orange and will connect to the black wire on the 37185 connector. The brake output wire will be blue and will go to the blue wire on 37185. Then you will ground the white wire from 37185. The remaining wire is for reverse lights. If the trailer has no need for this you can just tape up this wire and stow it out of the way. Otherwise you would need to splice it into a reverse light wire.
To add a brake controller you will need the controller itself and the correct wiring harness to plug it into the truck. For a controller I recommend the P2 # 90885 because it is easy to set up and use and it is reliable. And the proper harness to plug it into your truck is # 22292.
