Is There Anything To Check After Using An Impact Wrench On A Lippert Electric Trailer Jack

Question:

Hello, I recently got stuck with a dead battery and had to use an impact wrench on the override for my LC285318 under load to get it hooked up to my tow vehicle. I understand this is not recommended, but I had no other options/tools or access to the provided crank handle. I ended up cracking the override nut and will need to replace that. Once power was restored, the jack seemed to be functioning normally. Are there any other points/places that I should inspect to see if theres damage from the incident?

There wouldn't be anything else that you could check on the Lippert Electric Trailer Jack with Footplate # LC285318 since the only issue you'd probably have would be internally with either the threaded rod or gears. Most likely you'll be fine, but I don't recommend using an impact on it again. You can replace the override nut with part # LC55FR.
