7 Way Connector for 2019 Ford F-150 without Factory Towing Package
Question:
Hi - I have a 2019 F150 XLT 4x4 V8 without the factory tow package. It does have a factory 4-way connector and I have already installed a Curt class IV hitch. How would I upgrade to a 7-way and 4-way connector? I don’t need a brake controller. Also, is it possible to install the connectors in the bumper next to the license plate like the F150’s with factory tow? I’ve included a photo of the connectors under the truck. The one with the four wires is coming from the factory 4-way connector. Thanks!

You can install a 7 way connector on your 2019 Ford F-150 by using the Curt T-Connector # C56413, which will plug into the factory supplied 4 way connector plug on your vehicle and give you a fully functioning 7 way connector. If you've got a plastic bumper, I don't see any reason why you would not be able to cut a hole for the plug to be installed next to the license plate holder; however there is not a specific installation kit that makes this possible and you would need to do the cutting and mounting on your own.
I've linked a brief review video of this T-connector kit that you might find informative.

Ok, i need this kit #56413 and just wondering how long is this wiring kit? I see some kits show only about 12” of wire and this kit looks alot longer all coiled up. Are we to leave 2’-3’ coiled up under the truck? Or is it that long so we can mount the plug up in the box for a fifth wheel setup? I think they should have a kit option for the long wire version or the shorter version. I’m not keen on having the extra coil under the truck because my truck goes off road and hate to see it get caught on brush or anything else that could catch on it. Just my opinion. Thank you
