Recommended Adapter With Offset For Gooseneck Car Hauler Trailer
Question:
I just recently purchased a used 2007 pj trailer and as you can see from attached picture labeled truck, the front of the trailer sits low and I only have about four inches of clearance from the tailgate to the tongue of the trailer. In the picture labeled hitch, the adjustment pin sits very high compared to new versions of the couplers currently on the market. Do you have any recommendation to fix this and raise the front end of the trailer. There are no more adjustment holes in the inner coupler and bulldog does not recommend drilling and additional hole.

If you have a 4-inch outer tube on your gooseneck I have a solution for you.
I recommend the B&W Extend-A-Goose Gooseneck Coupler, part # BWTEXA4200. This adapter will fit inside the 4-inch outer tube and gives you 10-inches of offset as well as 8-inches of vertical adjustment. This has a weight capacity of 24,000-lbs and a vertical load limit of 6,000-lbs.
