Can Nose of 1988 Bee Horse Trailer be Lowered to Allow Trailer to Tow Level

Question:

We purchased a 1988 Bee 3 horse goose neck trailer. We then bought 2003 Ford F-350 dually tp pull it. We have found that with 6inch of clearance between truck and trailer, it sits unlovely. 4inch makes it sit better. We currently have 4 225/75-r15 load E on it. If the fenders will clear could we go with a 16 inch tire with load f to raise it some and give us more weight capacity. The gvwr is 12,000. We are in the process of updating the living quarters that will add more weight to that.

Thanks for the picture. Yeah you are very nose high and need to get the trailer sitting level. It's hard to tell in the picture but is the gooseneck coupler adjustable? You should see some set screws on the side of the tube that would allow you to raise the tube in the trailer and allow the nose to come down on the trailer. You aren't going to be able to fit a large enough tire to offset the height difference.

The coupler of the trailer needs to adjust or you should replace it with one that does. The part # SAC2516-I is adjustable and would be a great option.
