Swivel Jack with Lowest Retracted Height for Trailer

Question:

Is this the lowest height swing-up wheeled trailer jack you sell? I drive a lowered VW Golf Sportwagen and my current trailer jack MaxxHaul 70149 wont lower my utility trailer enough to sit on the hitch and I end up having to lift the tongue with one hand and swinging the jack up with the other to it onto the ball. Any suggestions would be appreciated!

The swivel trailer jack we offer that has the lowest retracted height is the Fulton F2 part # F1413040134 which has a height of 11 inches from the center of its mounting bracket to bottom of wheel. The part # DL22800 has this height a little taller at 13 inches.

These trailer jacks come pre-greased and must be disassembled to be greased when needed. Dis-assembly starts with removal of the cap at the top of the jack. I have provided a drawing that should help with dis-assembly and re-assembly.

The hole you have on your Dutton Lainson Jack part #DL22800 is not designed to be covered. If you really wanted to cover that hole you certainly could although you would be fine leaving it uncovered as well.

Scissor jacks are designed for stabilizing, not lifting. I wouldn't recommend you use one as an A-frame jack. You might be better off with a side mounted jack like the part #DL22800 that can be positioned further back on the trailer frame…
