Draw-Tite and Curt Trailer Hitch Comparison for 2016 Mazda CX-5
Question:
Hi, I am getting ready to order a hitch from you guys and I am deciding between the Çurt and Hidden Hitch. Aside from curts smart request to use a strap for bike racks is there any other difference to weigh before deciding? The Curt appears to be about 6 pounds heavier, does that mean better construction? Does the hidden hitch actually sit back under the bumper a bit more than the curt or is the exposure identical? Thanks!

Both the Curt Hitch Class III Reciever # C13315 and Draw-Tite Class III Reciever # 76138 are confirmed to fit on your 2016 Mazda CX-5. Both receivers are basically identical as they have the same weight bearing capabilities and install in the same manner.
If you are interested in using your hitch for towing, you will need a hitch ball, ball mount and pin and clip. I recommend the T-One Vehicle Wiring Harness # 118563 and our hitch ball mount kit # 989900 which comes with two hitch balls, two ball mounts and a pin and clip.
I have attached a review video of the ball mount kit, an installation videos of both hitches on a CX-5 and review video of the Wiring Harness you may want to check out.
