Today we're going to review Part Number C45006, this is the Curt ATV Bolt on Tongue Adapter With the Welded D Ring. What you would do with this is bolt this on to any size ATV tongue and it creates a 2 inch by 2 inch receiver tube, for towing or attaching ATV accessories. The hardware's all included, as you can see, it comes with a large bolt and nut which is used to attach to the ATV tongue. It's a very simple installation, it bolts onto any size ATV tongue. It also includes this stabilization plate right down here. What that does, once you get this bolted on, you adjust this plate to your ATV, tighten this down and it will prevent this adapter from swiveling on your ATV.
It also includes this integrated, welded D ring, it provides a nice convenient tie down point. The whole thing has a nice durable powder coat finish to it. Integrated D-ring provides a convenient tie-down point.This is a solid little hitch mount. I used it in a rather unconventional application so I could mount a bike rack on the tongue of my camper. My camper does not have a rear bumper so I was looking for a way to mount a bike rack to the camper. This little product worked great for my application. I bolted through the tongue into the holes in the bottom of the hitch for the stabilizer plates. I did not use the stabilizer plate for my application.
The Curt ball mount adapter worked great! It served two purposes. It allowed me to use a hitch that moved the tongue back giving more clearance and turning radius from my atv. It also moved my ball up enough to get the trailer level.

I bought this to tow a woodsplitter with an atv. It works for that but the hitch tends to push off to one side when backing up. The large star washer that is meant to prevent that just doesn't have enough torque resistance.
Really well made. It didn’t hold tight to the atv hitch like I thought it would, it swiveled making turns. I had to weld it on and seems to hold well.
I haul utility trailers behind my old Arctic Cat in the woods.
The hitch is great, it allows me to use an ATV trailer, have a way to drag deer out of the woods and use a tow strap to pull large blow downs out of the skidder trails.
A very versatile hitch indeed.
The centering plate that bolts onto the bottom to keep the receiver in line is such poor metal that upon tightening the two bolts it indented in each side of the slot in the plate plus the lock washers spread out. I have 5 inserts and none of them would work because the bolt head sticks up too far, had to cut off the end of the insert to line up the holes for the pin. When tightening the main bolt, a socket won't fit completely over the bolt head because the square receiver is too close to the bolt hole. Poor quality and poor engineering.
The adapter itself is made very well and I like the adjustable bottom plate that fits against the receiver plate to prevent the adapter from turning when backing up. It annoys me that a locking pin is not provided.
I haven't put it to use yet but it seems very strong and capable. The anti-pivot technology seems like it will hold up well. It didn't come with a lock-nut or lock washer for the large bolt so I added one just to make sure the bolt stays on the tongue nice and tight. Can't wait to use it!
I had a hard time finding a product that would fit my needs, I looked up etrailer.com and found the perfect thing that fits my atv I now can use my cargo carrier and that will be a big help this fall when I go hunting.
Easy to install. Works OK. My complaint is that the V notch bracket that is supposed to keep it from swinging left and right does not work very well so I think the product needs a better design. If it were not for that I would have rated this a 5 star.

Works great. I use the atv to move my camper, utility and boat trailers around. Still holding up like Curt products should.
