You can change your ST205/75/D15 trailer tires to a larger ST225/75/R15 size IF your 15-inch rims are either 6-inches or 6-1/2-inches wide AND IF you have sufficient clearance around the tires for the increased width and overall diameter of the ST225/75/R15.

A 205/75-15 tire when mounted and inflated has an overall diameter of about 27-inches. A tire in size ST225/75/R15 has an overall diameter of 28.4-inches, about an inch-and-a-half larger. The larger tire will also be about 3/4-inch wider.

I have linked an article with tire sizing information as well as our main page for special trailer tires in size 225/75-15. These include both bias ply and radial types and choices of Load Range, either C, D or E. For the highest capacity tire you can use the Kenda # AM10303 which is a LR E radial rated for 2830-lbs at 80-psi.

Always inflate trailer tires to the full cold psi pressure noted on the tire sidewall.
