What Ball Mount For Draw-Tite Class I Trailer Hitch Receiver, # 24769, on 2007 Dodge Caliber
Question:
The ball mount for this hitch will not go far enough in to be able to the hitch pin. There is a protusion in the back of the 1 1/4 hole that prevents the mount from going in far enough. Does this hitch require a special depth ball mount? Thanks

All Class I, 1-1/4 inch trailer hitches will require a special ball mount, and are designed for Class I accessories. The Class I 1-1/4 inch hitches will not accept any Class II 1-1/4 inch accessories.
The Draw-Tite Sportframe Drawbar 5/8 inch Rise 2000# Kit, # 3591, is designed to be used in the Draw-Tite Class I Trailer Hitch Receiver, # 24769, on your 2007 Dodge Caliber. If a different ball mount is needed for towing a trailer then that means your vehicle most likely should not be towing that trailer.
