There are quite a few options for towing a 5th Wheel trailer with your 2007 Dodge Ram 3500 Mega Cab Dually. To determine the best hitch for your truck, it depends on the bed size.

For a 6 foot bed, I recommend 16K Fifth Wheel Trailer Hitch with Slider, # RP30051. This is a 16,000 capacity hitch with a slider. I have included a link to the instructions below. We also have two 20K capacity hitches, part # RP30083 and part # RP30084. All of these hitches will work with Fifth Wheel Trailer Hitch Semi Custom Installation Kit with Brackets and Rails, # RP30035-186. I have included a link to the instructions below. This kit will work on the 3500 series trucks with or without overload springs.

For an 8 foot bed, I recommend the 16K Fifth Wheel Hitch, # RP30047. This hitch has a 16,000 pound capacity and is a fixed hitch (does not slide). We also have 15k and 22k hitches available; part #s PS30093 for 15k, and RP30033 for 22k. All of these hitches can be used with the installation kit mentioned above.

As a side note, I just wanted to add that all the listed 6 foot bed and 8 foot bed hitches will work with the Mega Cab Dually model you have.

If your bed is less than 6 feet long, you will probably need a sidewinder. The sidewinder moves the pivot point 22 inches closer to the tailgate to create more clearance between the trailer and the truck cab when turning. You can read more about sidewinders in our sidewinder FAQ linked below. If you decide you need a sidewinder, you will need to determine the manufacturer and model number of your existing 5th Wheel pin box so we can find you the correct match.
