I have an older but reliable 1999 Ford 350 DWD Super Duty and your 5th tailgate fits like a custom made glove . The workmanship is excellent and the finish compliments the overall look of my truck.
So the tailgate instructions are lacking for starters. There’s a few dings on the tailgate where the paint is gone. Looking at the back of the truck, on the bottom where it connects, none of the spacers worked. So the top connections are snug but my bottom connections have play in them. I ordered the right one for my truck year make and model so I’m not sure what that’s about. It looks good, but I wish it fit properly and did not have chipped paint. Shipping was fast.
This tailgate was a Christmas present for my sons truck, that was his granfathers. The shipping was fast!!! It traveled to Idaho. This has been an excellent product for him. He is a lineman and his truck takes a beating. It is sturdy and made well. Never had any issues with it. Wish we had another truck so we could purchase from you again.
Great tailgate for the price. We needed one that could handle the weight of a person standing on it, something some of the fancier lovered ones can't handle. Tailgate fit on F250 perfectly. Stromberg could do a better job with directions and packaging as some paint had worn off from the cardboard shipping box. The entire tailgate should be wrapped in plastic, not just the ends. Service was great from etrailer. Order was received in four days.

Fits perfectly and matches my F350 bed design nicely. Install was simple and fast. Great replacement to a tailgate that was rotting away, plus I notice the lack of drag with this new tailgate. Just like advertised, my view when backing up to hitch up is much more clearer. Awesome product.

After a year Ive still had no issues with my tailgate, I can remove it easily when I dont need it and it has held up exceptionally well, Ive scratched it a few times but a little touch up paint and its back to new. Has never rusted or let me down yet, plus I always recognize a difference in fuel mileage.
easy install and will do the job well. looks good too.

This still works and looks great after a year of abuse. Im very pleased with this tailgate. Im glad I bought it.

The product was easy to assemble and install. The tailgate is a nice replacement for our damaged tailgate and adds safety to hooking up our fifth wheel with great visibility to the king pin on the coach and the fifth hitch from the side.
I cannot believe my experience with your company and the product. I purchased a 5th wheel truck tailgate and the speed that it was delivered to me was fantastic !!! I also found the instructions very helpful and installation was very quick and easy. I would recommend this product to anyone needing a replacement tailgate !
Fits on a 2008 F450 Lariat! The only reason I did not give 5 stars is because a part of the tailgate was bent when it came in, along with a couple other bends. Wasn't a big issue, because I just bent it back and it was alright. Instructions are easy, and installation of the new tailgate was SUPER easy, even a caveman can do it. Just be sure to list ACCURATELY what make and model vehicle you have, as etrailer will ship only the appropriate items and hardware.

Im still Loving the tailgate ! Its still in great shape yes I will recommend it to a friend still after a year no rest at all.
Great product, great service. I bought one of these 5th Wheel Tailgates for my GMC 1500 and loved it, but I traded the 1500 for a F250 so I bought another. It came today and I had it on in 20 minutes. Here is a picture of the GMC. The Ford looks just as good. This tailgate makes hooking up much easier and is about a quarter of the weight of the factory tailgate.
The inserts for the connections were useless. Had to salvage the ones from my old tailgate then cy to fit, Littke extra time to fit. Have to salvage the support wire from the old one to support gate when down. Unit looks good.
The tailgate arrived in a well packed carton. The tailgate was perfect and fairly easy to install. Did have to call Stromberg for so fine details but it installed easily! Nicole at Etrailer.com was instrumental in getting me to the right place to get the right tailgate. I highly recommend the Stromberg 100 tailgate and etrailer.com!
I received my 5th wheel gate very fast, coming up to Alaska,and was easy to install took about 30 min's

Hmmmm, let me get you over to our customer service department for them to see what we can do for you for the damage.
Very simple to install. One spot was bent where to screw one of the latches in but just bent it back by hand. Would be nice if that whole piece was welded to the face plate instead of just one spot.
Decent product. It does have several flaws that I wasn't happy about. It is going on a work truck so not to worried, get what you pay for as they say. Shipping was fast as normal. Still would refer people to etrailer.com
When it came it was bent on one side where the latch fit also was missing one screw and nut had to drive 20 miles to a hardware store to get one

Fit is excellent, installed with only one minor problem. Tailgate arrived with a small hole in one end of the box. Upon inspection the plastic zip lock bag containing all the hardware had torn open in transit. Only one 1/4-20 screw and one 1/4-20 nylock insert nut remained in the box, all other hardware required was enclosed but loose inside the box. Minor problem considering the distance traveled for delivery. Digging through my hardware drawer in my shop produced the needed screws and nuts. Overall very pleased wit the products, good value for the money. Would recommend it to others.

Tailgate looks like the day I installed it. Very satisfied with thus product, good quality product.
We were quite impressed when the fifth wheel tailgate we ordered arrived in 3 or 4 days after we ordered it. It was easy to install on our pickup and two days later we went camping and used the pickup with the new tailgate to haul our RV.
We couldn't be happier with the service we received or the quality and price of the tailgate. We'd order other parts from etrailer without hesitation and would highly recommend this company.
We were especially happy with the helpfulness and friendliness of the staff person who took our order and assisted us in deciding on the exact part we needed.

A year after installing the tailgate on our pickup, its still working and looking great and were happy with it.
Good quality tailgate, easy to install. Good value.
This tailgate works great for me. It helps me to be able the back up and get my 5th wheel hitch centered w with my in bed hitch. The only thing I would like is to open the tailgate with one lever instead of individuals levers.

After 1 year, this tailgate is still working find. It serves the purpose I brought it for.i would recommend this product to anyone with a 5th wheel.
