i have a ford f250 heavyduty, not superduty, will tailgate still fit my truck? Ford made a heavyduty and superduty both in 1997.

For the 1997 Ford F-250 Heavy Duty, you would need Stromberg Carlson 100 Series 5th Wheel Tailgate with Open Design, # VG-100. This is the same design, the 100 series, as # VG-97-100, except that it will fit your truck.

The VG-97-100 is a fit for Super Duty models but not Heavy Duty models.
