Hi everybody, Andy here with etrailer.com, and today we're taking a look at this Shocker XR Adjustable Drop Ball Mount with this 2 5/16 inch ball for a two inch shank. Now, this solid heavy-duty channel-style adjustable ball mount with this drop ball attachment and this 2 5/16 inch ball provides a wide range of adjustability. Included, as you see here, are two easy to remove pins, and they have these large rings that I can easily fit up to four fingers through that's going to make it very easy to grab ahold of, so there's not gonna be any more fumbling with small hitch pin heads, and this also features large safety clips that's going to make securing the clips and the pins very easy. Let me just give you a brief demonstration of how easy this is to adjust. So I'm just gonna pull out my clips, and then let me turn this around and show you how easy it is to remove these pins. By the way, these large rings can fold one way or the other if you would like them out of your way.

So I'm gonna pull my pins out and just adjust this a little bit lower. Okay, I have that in, let me go ahead and secure it with the clips. Now, you're going to get, with this channel-style mount, you're going to get 0 to 7 1/2 inches of drop, and that's gonna be with this ball and with this drop mount. The inside channel width is 3 3/4 inches across, and the distance between the vertical adjustment holes are going to be an inch, so an inch between each of those holes. And this is going to work with all Shocker Hitch ball mounts and attachments including the combination ball, the pintle hook, the sway bar mount, and more, all of those attachments are sold separately, but you can find them on the related products section on this product page.

Now, this is made in the USA, and it is of a Grade 50 steel plate construction and a cold-rolled steel shank, that's gonna provide maximum durability. This is shot blasted and powder coated to prevent rust, the ball is zinc-plated, and the gross towing weight of this is gonna be 12,000 pounds with a tongue weight of 1,200 pounds. So again, this is gonna fit two inch trailer hitch receivers, the hitch pin hole diameter is 5/8 of an inch. A pin and clip is sold separately, I would however recommend taking a look at the InfiniteRule locking pins for the Shocker Hitch ball mounts, two inch hitches and 2 1/2 inch hitches. You will get three pins, one of the pins will lock this shank into your receiver hitch on your vehicle, and then the other two pins will lock your attachment to your Shocker Hitch.

It's a great way to secure your investment to your vehicle. Now, speaking of these hitch pin holes, the distance from our first hitch pin hole to the center of the hitch ball is gonna be about 9 1/2 inches, and then moving down to the second hitch pin hole to the center of our hitch ball is gonna be about 10 1/2 inches.
