Purchased for a 2006 Silverado Crew Cab Duramax. Previous owner left the underbed portion of the assembly. The actual ball mount is very easy to install with detailed instructions. Plastic trim on top is sort of cheap with unreliable double sided tape from the manufacturer, which I will have to replace. I would not recommend for lifted trucks as the ball sits approx 6 inches higher than a hideaway turnover type, unless you have that much room to adjust your gooseneck trailer. Other than that, I am pleased.

Great hitch to convert your Reece elite puck system to a gooseneck. Plastic cover is pointless and doesn’t stay down, but it’s not needed anyway.

This hitch works great. I think the plastic beauty cover could have been made out of sheet metal, I just removed it and put it in storage, there is no way that plastic would survive in the bed of my truck without getting broken. I like the fact that the ball is replaceable with a clip on the bottom holding it in place, but the ball does not fit in the hole quite as tight as I would like, I suppose with the down pressure of a trailer on it there is probably no movement. All in all I like towing with this gooseneck hitch better than a fifth wheel hitch, no noises and such. I have been pulling a trailer that I haul tractors on and it has performed very well for that. The weight of trailer and load has been up to 14,000 lbs. This hitch has been the solution for my trailer hauling problem, having a fifth wheel hitch but needing to haul a gooseneck trailer. Love the puck system of installing the fifth wheel and gooseneck hitches.

The gooseneck hitch has continued to work well for me. It is still the best solution for me to convert from 5th wheel to gooseneck hitch.

I have the Reese 18K fifth wheel hitch. I purchased this item so I would have the ability to tow gooseneck trailers as well. Item arrived in quickly and I had no issues. It will be easy to switch out my hitches with the puck system I have.

This adapter is well made, nicely presented and very easy to assemble and install.
It allows the Reese SIGNATURE SERIES 5th wheel hitch to double as a standard goose-neck hitch.
Once assembled and installed the first time you can easily swap between the above-bed 5th wheel hitch and this goose-neck hitch in less than 5 minutes.
The only downside is the steep price for this adapter.
And etrailer was very helpful in reviewing their location with respect to mine to determine the exact UPS transit time to get me the hitch quickly but without wasting money on excessive shipping... THANKS!

I purchased a Reese elite gooseneck hitch that will mount on where my fifth wheel hitch goes ( it locks in with the twist pucks) .
It showed up in 3 days.

Plastic cover will not stay attached. Locking arms are too flimsy not beefy enough. The locking arm pins are bush league not nearly substantial enough. The ball and frame components are top notch. The aforementioned parts should be of same quality. Overall the product is a bit disappointing.

Gooseneck hitch arrived quickly, well packaged and all there. Went together in about 45 minutes without any problems. The hitch seems well made. Time will tell how the two sided tape holds up on the cover.

Hitch was easy to set up and install. Looks very good and the knowledgeable and courteous staff help me get the correct hitch as I had rails already installed on my truck when I purchased it and had no idea what brand it was. A big thank you needs to go out to all the etrailer staff!
