Recommended Gooseneck Hitch for a 2000 Ford F-250 and F-350 Super Duty

Question:

Inside my bed I have the 4 pucks, I also have rails going under the bed that are 10 inches apart and the rails have holes at 9.5 inches center to center which looks like you should be able to bolt in a 2 5/16 gooseneck ball plate. My problem is I cannot find any hitch plate that measures 10 inches wide to go between my rails. Im at a loss with this hitch

I contacted my tech contact at Reese and as long as your rail holes are 10" by 30" the Reese Elite Series Above-Bed Gooseneck Trailer Hitch # RP30845 will fit on your 2000 Ford F-250 or F-350 Super Duty. The puck system allows easy mounting and removal of the hitch and it is made from a strong steel from to make it sturdy and durable. This is an easy-to-mount system and has a gross towing weight capacity of 25,000 lbs.

The hardware needed to install this hitch is included and a 2-5/16" ball is included with the hitch.

I recommend using the 2000 Hopkins Gooseneck 90 Degree Wiring Harness # HM40157 when towing your trailer. This wiring harness will simplify your hookup of your gooseneck trailer as it plugs into your existing wiring and its 90 degree angled connector fits into tight spaces.
