Lionshead Roadside Assistance Program

This tire-and-wheel assembly comes with complimentary roadside assistance for 2 years. If your RV or trailer has a flat tire, call the help line and a technician will come change the flat for you. You can call 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, and 365 days a year from anywhere in the United States, Canada, or Puerto Rico.

1-Year No Excuses Guarantee

This tire has a 1-year No Excuses Guarantee. If within the first 12 months the tire is damaged in any way that's not covered by warranty, it will be replaced at no charge. You will also be compensated a flat labor rate for the cost of mounting the replacement tire.

Steel Lug Nut Inserts

Lionshead Aluminum Wheels with Steel Lug-Nut Inserts

This aluminum wheel comes with steel inserts in the lug nut wells. The inserts are pressed into the aluminum, and they help prevent the holes from wearing down over time. This ensures that the wheel stays secured to your trailer hub and that you won't have to constantly retorque the lug nuts.

Westlake Radials

This radial ply tire from Westlake is constructed with double steel belts and double polyester cords for increased durability. A protective layer of nylon is wrapped around the steel belts to help prevent tread separation.

Westlake Standard Tread Close-Up

The standard tread on this tire has solid, continuous ribs, and there are very few sipes (or thin grooves) cut into the rubber. This tire is designed for use on trailers, so it doesn't require the level of traction that would be needed on a vehicle that is braking or steering.

Radial Tires vs. Bias Tires

Radial tire vs bias tire graphic

Radial ply tires are designed for trailers that are towed on the highway. The cords on a radial tire are positioned at a 90-degree angle to the direction of travel so that they lay across the width of the tire from wheel lip to wheel lip. This construction prevents the cords from rubbing against one another when the tire flexes, unlike the cords on a bias ply tire. As a result, radial tires have less rolling resistance and heat buildup, which leads to a longer tread life and improved steering at higher speeds.

Determining the Bolt Pattern

The first number in the bolt pattern is the number of bolt holes. The second number denotes the diameter, in inches, of the circle on which the bolt holes sit.

Bolt Pattern - Odd

To determine the bolt-circle diameter on wheels with an odd number of bolt holes, measure from the center of any bolt hole to the point halfway between the two bolt holes directly across from the first. (Example: "5 on 4-1/2" means 5 bolt holes with 4-1/2" measured to a point halfway between the opposite bolt holes.)

Bolt Pattern - Even

On wheels with an even number of bolt holes, measure from the center of one bolt hole to the center of the hole directly across from it. (Example: "8 on 6-1/2" means 8 bolt holes with 6-1/2" from the center of one hole to the center of another on the opposite side.)

Bolt Pattern - Side

Measuring the distance from the center of one bolt hole on the wheel to the center of a bolt hole right next to it can also help to determine the bolt pattern.

  • If D = 2-5/8", then the bolt pattern is 5 on 4-1/2"
  • If D = 2-3/4", then the bolt pattern is 5 on 4-3/4"
  • If D = 3", then the bolt pattern is 5 on 5"
  • If D = 3-1/4", then the bolt pattern is 5 on 5-1/2"

Working with etrailer Rep "Tammie" was great. She was patient and knowledgeable about the products they offered to get me a new wheel/tire combo to support my Jayco North Point 44ft Fifth Wheel properly unlike the wheel/tires that came with the unit. We have gone through two whole sets of Good Year Endurance E-Rated tires now. We are in the 1,650lbs allowed on this unit and our axles are aligned. So, we are looking forward to rolling on the new etrailer G-Rated Tires and not being stranded on the Interstate again. NEW WHEEL/TIRES SHOWN HERE.

Could not believe how quickly everything arrived! Had a nail in one tire and someone helped themselves to my spare. The Westlakes on the trailer have been great. Definitely wanted to go back with same equipment. After 6000 miles the original Westlakes show very little wear.

by:

Love these tires! Just returned from a 1600 round trip from eastern Pa to northern Mi and these tires performed flawlessly. Had the package shipped to me with the nitrogen fill and the tires stayed cool the entire time. The roads in Michigan from the state line north of Toledo to Flint are really bad and I had my concerns. Those concerns are gone. I will definitely purchase the Westlake tires again.

by:

Tire and wheel look good and you can't beat the convenience. I was however disappointed that the date code is 23rd week of 2022, tire is already aged over a year, that is the reason for the 4 star rating.

by:

Looks great on my 5th wheel camper.

by:

Ordered 4 tire/wheel set for a boat trailer. Excellent price and shipping was free. One tire had a small defect on sidewall and was replaced very quickly. No trouble at all getting it replaced. Great customer service.
Will definitely come back for RV Tires.

by:

My RV didn't come with a spare tire. etrailer was the only place where I could get a matching tire with a rim already installed at a reasonable price and without ridiculous shipping charges (shipping was free). The only issue I had was I was not able to get anyone to answer their customer service phone to make sure I was ordering the right thing. I figured it out myself. I'm very happy with the tire, the fast delivery and the price. I'm also glad that I have the security of a spare.

Very nice tire wheel package, arrived when it was scheduled and looks great!

by:

I purchased this package I was a little optimistic but package arrived and was as described in the photo. Gave the boat trailer a whole new look. I made the mistake of not ordering enough lugs counted four instead of five lugs per wheel but still a great look and fit. Shipping was quick.

by:

perfect match for a spare

by:

Love the way they gave my boat a face lift tires and wheels arrived nicely packaged in boxes well protected and fit great! Couldnt be happier!

by:

Very happy with the look! Went with the stainless steel center caps and chrome lug nuts. Matches the boat. Heavy duty tires.

by:

Excellent company, excellent experience. The website is easy to navigate and had best product choice / pricing / availability. I ordered new wheels on Sunday with a free shipping option of 8 days. I got an email on Sunday evening that my order had been shipped and would arrive in 4 days. I call that over delivering. Product arrived, is a perfect fit and looks great on my boat trailer. Highly recommend.

by:

The good: great looking wheel and tire for the money. Seem like good quality. Quick shipping, and easy ordering.

Bad: Can you please either leave the stickers off the wheel or use vinyl stickers? Each wheel has two cheap paper stickers on them held on with super glue. I had to use good off and a razor blade to take off the sticker that says to only use soap and water on the wheels, ironic? Also, what is with all the markings on the tire, if you are going to mark the tire it should be on the inside, not the outside. I would have given them more stars if it were not for these issues.

by:

I ordered two of these tire/wheel combos for my boat trailer. I then ordered a third one for my spare tire. They arrived in a special box and ready to install. Love the ability to track my order. They look awesome! Changed the whole look of my boat and trailer. Highly, highly recommend this tire and wheel.

  • Questions on Provider Radial Tire with Viking Aluminum Wheel
Yes, the Provider ST235/85R16 Radial Tire w 16" Viking Aluminum Wheel - 8 on 6-1/2 - LR G - Black, # A16RG8BMMFL does have a metal valve stem, shipped to the address you identify at time of order and the center cap is included. It is not filled with nitrogen. We do not have trailer tires in this configuration of wheel and tire identified as being filled with nitrogen instead of compressed air.

  • Recommended 16 Inch Aluminum Wheel with 3,960 lb Capacity
Your combo is restricted to the 3,640 lbs capacity by the tire. The wheel itself is rated higher at 3,960 lbs capacity. Unfortunately we do not carry that wheel by itself. We do have other spoke wheel options, but the closest look # AM22691 is rated for 3,200 lbs capacity. My recommendation for your capacity is the Aluminum Bearcat Trailer Wheel - Silver # 274-000039.

We have what you need to upgrade your 7,000 lb trailer axles but there are some things that we need to take a look at. Check your ID seal on your spindles. If they require a 2-1/8 inch seal, your wheel size is 16 to 17-1/2 inches and you have a 12 inch brake assembly, then you can use the Dexter Trailer Hub Assembly # 8-219-9UC3. This is for 5,200 to 7,000 lb axles. Now, for your idler axle, if it is a 5,200, 6,000 or 7,000 lb axle and has #42 spindles, you can use this Dexter Trailer...

For a trailer with 7,000 lb axles I recommend using Load Range G tires, like the Westlake # LHWL410. Load Range G tires are rated for 4,400 lb at 110 psi when using a single tire, and 3,860 lbs at 110 psi when using dual tires. If you are getting new wheels with the tires, like part # LHAXSO513B, make sure you select the right bolt pattern as well. I can get you a Westlake load range G 14-ply rated tire in 235/85-16 as part # LHWL410, and I can offer you the # 274-000039 wheel separately, as we don't have the equipment at our facility to mount tires. You could have these mounted at a local shop upon arrival. We do have the Lion's Head Lynx 16 x 6 wheel in black available with that tire size/ load rating as part # LHAXSO513B, which could be a good option as well.

If your current set up uses a bolt pattern of 8 on 6-1/2, the Westlake ST235/85R16 # LHAXSO513B is an excellent option. • Are Wheel/Tire Combos Factory Balanced
The wheel and tire combos we sell are not balanced at the factory. When the tire is mounted to the wheel, the high (heavy) spot on the wheel is matched to the low (light) spot on the tire, which leaves the wheel and tire somewhat balanced. You may have the wheel/tire professionally balanced if you wish, but having perfectly balanced tires is not as important with trailer tires as it is with a passenger vehicle, because trailers don't have steering axles. This is a great question, and one that we see from time to time. Trailer tires do not have to be dynamically balanced like passenger car tires do since a trailer tire's primary duty is supporting a vertical load. Passenger car tires on the other hand benefit from being fully balanced since passengers might otherwise feel the irregularities at higher speeds.
