Absorbs Road Shock and Reduces Chucking

Upgrade your trailer's suspension for a smoother ride with these cushioned Equa-Flex equalizers. These units deliver a ride as smooth as you'd get with torsion axles, but at a fraction of the cost. The rubber cores effectively absorb vibrations and bumps and reduce the back-and-forth movement known as chucking. Unlike standard cast equalizers, the Equa-Flex's rubber cores soak up this energy like a sponge instead of transferring it to your trailer and cargo. The result is a more comfortable ride with less wear and tear on your trailer.

Easy Installation

Illustration of a tandem axle trailer suspension system

It's easy to upgrade your trailer's standard suspension with a set of cushioned Equa-Flex equalizers. To begin, insert one bushing into each of the bolt holes on the equalizers. You will need 10 standard suspension bolts and 8 shackle straps (each sold separately) to incorporate the equalizers into your trailer's suspension system. Two of the suspension bolts will be used to suspend the equalizers from the center hangers, and the other 8 bolts will be used with the shackle straps to attach the equalizers to the double-eye leaf springs. If you would like to replace the bolts that attach the springs to your front and rear hangers as well, you will need 4 additional suspension bolts (sold separately).

product shown has new top pins which were not included, also the packaging was 1/3 destroyed. My old pins do not have grease fittings, so no way to grease the Equa-Flex devices.

With these Equa-Flex cushioned equalizers, they come with the Never Fail bushings which are self-lubricating so that you do not have to re-apply grease constantly. You can add a wet bolt like part # LC126238 or # LC126197 depending on the length that you need. If you do you will want to use bronze bushings as the grease will eat away the never fail or nylon bushings.

Looked at another brand, decided I liked the Lippert better. Although it was $[XX] more than where I started I was willing to pay the extra due to it having a variable width and it being heavier built than the product I was looking at. Paula was excellent in assisting me with this product, (4) springs, u bolts, wet blots / shackle kit.

by:

I bought these to replace the worn-out ones I had on my trailer. It was approximately two hours install per side. I purchased all new standard bolts with never fail bushings along with all new straps. I was told I could replace the brass bushings with never fail bushings when I purchased the set. When I received equa-flex equalizers I noticed they all had pressed in brass bushings so I was not able to use the never fail bushings. I had to go down to the local trailer store to to purchase six wet bolts. All in all I am happy I just have six extra bolts and six extra never fail bushings.

by:

These will be going back. Lippert did a terrible job prepping these for shipment. They showed up with evidence of metallic grinding, dropping, and less than a quality piece. The bubble wrap that was around the pieces wouldn’t protect a Christmas ornament from the dollar tree. Definitely not going on my trailer like this.

Received the equalizer a little after lunch today. Had the passenger side of the trailer done in about an hour after some choice words getting the old one off. Putting this in was simple, and should make a good ride and stop wearing my tire out.

by:

Superior quality. Just what we wanted.

by:

Very easy install—removed wheel on rear axle and plenary of area to work. Reused hangers and bolts. Installed in about 90 minutes. Looking forward to seeing the difference in handling

by:

Easy to install, soft brake action eliminated the pivot flip. Highly recommend them. Buy the grease zert bolts and zero issues for as long as you own the trailer

by:

This is the 2nd time I have bought new equalizers. The first replacement set were abused by leaf springs that were too long. This caused a binding of the equalizers as the long springs pushed to the center and tore up the rubber bushings on the equalizers. Before a long road trip I had custom leaf springs fabricated and installed new equalizers. All is well now.

by:

U-bolts seem to be good quality. Would purchase again.

by:

After 10 years of wear and tear it was time to replace my equaflex system. As always etrailer staff was very helpful getting me the correct replacement parts and any upgrade parts I had questions about. Shipping was fast and the package came in damage free. Installation was a breeze and straight forward. I also added wet bolts to the spring hangers and shackles. A very good upgrade for most RV suspensions. Very satisfied customer and etrailer is definitely my go-to company.

1 year after installing and roughly 18,000 miles everything is working great. No sign of wear. Great product. Definitely recommend this upgrade for those that have the stock equalizers.

by:

Well, between your "Tips for a great review" and "Not appropriate for a review" I'd say you don't really want an honest review. My experience though, box had a large hole, glad there was no loose parts. Of real concern though (safety/warranty) was the fact that the pivot points were assembled with no grease at all, totally dry. Glad I checked.

I am glad that nothing was missing or damaged. When this is being installed it is recommended to add lubricant to the pivot points. Please take a look at timestamp 9:35 in the video below to see what I mean.

by:

Great product. Made a big difference from OEM. Definitely recommend them.

One of my packages was delivered, however one package which is required to install the other package is apparently lost, as there have been no updates for several days. I will give it a few more days and then maybe call the usps.

Sometimes even when packages are shipped at the same time, they can become separated along the way and one will deliver before the other. I will have our Customer Service team contact you to help track it.

by:

Have only put about 3500 miles on these replacement equalizers but they appear to be getting the job done. I'm a little surprised at how much the rubber bushing portion is already compressed but will see long term. The order from etrailer was handled correctly and timely. Happy with the company.

by:

I upgraded to the 6-8000 lbs. Equlizers on my 2014 Redwood fifth wheel .
I have had 2 leaf springs break within 2 months . I did some reasearch and found an issue with the shackle bushings failing so I also went with the heavy duty wet bolt kit.
Included is a video of the equlizers doing their job.

by:

These were a direct replacement for my existing Equa-flex brackets on my fifth wheel RV. The originals lasted six years and needed bushings and rubber cushions were showing their age. I was able to purchase a set of these that had been returned for damage to paint. They came to me in the condition described by customer service rep. Good job as always etrailer! I also replaced the rest of bushings/bolts with a Never Fail kit I'd purchased earlier. That part of the repair was more difficult. The plastic bushings are difficult to fit in the spring eye and the threads on the bolts and nuts can strip easily if you're not careful.

by: 02/12/2021

Excellent product. These a a big upgrade from the stock. Thanks to Bob and the crew for installing these. See the video of the installation.

Works great. Smooth ride. Would use again.

by:

Just to say shipping was great and fast, install took place several days later and that went very well also. Plans are to try out the new install in the coming weeks, I see no problems, very satisfied from cost to install even with age and fiscal handicaps.
Thanks etrailer for appears to be a solid design product. I would recommend this product over a flex design after 4 years needed replacement.

by:

Have a 30' toy hauler and first added Sumo shocks which made a difference but after adding these Equa - Flex cushioned equalizers what a BIG change in the ride and towing. E trailer shipping was very fast and they were very easy to install . To me this is a must for people with an RV.

by:

The product is amazing; however, the kit didn’t come with the Stover Nuts to put it all together. I’ve had the kit for a year and just installed it last weekend and noticed it came with no nuts.???? And trying to find 7/16 x 20 Stover Nuts is almost impossible...but I did. I would recommend a little better quality control on the items required to be in the box. I no longer need them since I’ve already purchased them from another source.

by:

These units provide an excellent ride and stability for any tandem trailer. Highly recommended and well worth the money.

by:

Fast shipping and installed easy, had trailer completely lifted which helped in attaching shackles to equalizer.

I have a solution for you, but the Equa-Flex # LC279688 has 7-1/2" between the mounting holes, so it's likely going to create a situation where your suspension travel is negatively affected.
