Do you have an older malfunctioning stereo you want to replace so you can get back to rocking out in your rig? Or perhaps you want to upgrade to a stereo that gives you improved sound quality while binge-watching the latest TV show craze? This 3-zone, multimedia stereo with a built-in CD/DVD player provides crystal-clear audio in and around your RV or camper whether you're streaming music from your smartphone, listening to your favorite radio station, or watching a DVD for family movie night.

3 Zones Use Bluetooth to Stream Audio

This stereo has 3 zones that can be connected to up to 8 speakers (sold separately). You can either play your preferred radio stations or you can connect your smartphone to Bluetooth so you can stream all your favorite songs on the fly. And zone A, B and C can be independently controlled, so you are able to turn down the sound inside your RV while your spouse simultaneously cranks the volume up outside.

Stereo Settings are Easily Adjusted with jControl App

Jensen RV Stereo Settings

You can use the free jControl smartphone app, included wireless remote control, or buttons on the front of the stereo to adjust the stereo's settings. You'll be able to tweak audio settings such as bass, treble, balance, and volume to set the mood whether you're throwing a large patio party with friends or sharing a quiet, romantic dinner with your spouse.

And if the kids are in the back watching a movie, the electronic skip protection feature will prevent the DVD from skipping when you're traveling over rough roads to the campsite.

Multiple Connection Points Hook Up External Devices

Jensen RV Stereo Connection Points

This stereo has multiple connection points to hook up external devices so you can have enhanced sound quality in your RV. You can use the pass-through HDMI port to hook up your TV for family movie night, or you can use the auxiliary port to play music from an MP3 player. And at the end of a long day at the campsite, you can use the USB port to charge your smartphone.

Tuner Stores Multiple Stations for Quick Access

For when you're on the go and are running behind your vacation schedule, you can save some time by using the digital AM/FM tuner, which has programmable presets so you can quickly and conveniently access previously saved stations. If you want to be able to get to your favorite stations with the push of a button, you can save them using the 6 numbered preset buttons along the bottom of the stereo. And if you're on the road and your favorite stations at home are fading out, you can easily scan through up to 12 AM stations and 18 FM stations from surrounding areas.

Recessed Installation into an Interior RV Wall

Jensen RV Stereo Installation

This single-DIN stereo recesses into a wall in your RV or camper and bolts down with mounting hardware (not included). If you're not directly replacing a stereo, you'll have to cut a hole that measures 7-1/2" wide x 2-3/4" tall x 6-1/4" deep. Avoid mounting this stereo near heat radiating appliances such as electric heaters or anywhere thats poorly ventilated, humid, or dusty. Then use the included wiring harness to hook the stereo up to power and ground, as well as any speakers you have in your RV.

I bought this unit to replace the factory IRV66 infotainment center in our 2016 Rockwood Signature 8329SS, which I hated from the day we bought the trailer. I've replaced other AM/FM/CD/DVD units in previous trailer with Jensens, including one which we kept for 9 years. Have always been VERY satisfied with the Jensens AND their WORKING remote controls. Because of EXTREMELY limited horizontal space in which to replace the IRV66, only this unit or one or 2 others (different brands) would fit in the space that the IRV unit vacated. THANKS VERY MUCH, ETRAILER, for providing SO MUCH information, specifications, and details on the items you sell!!!) We are 110% pleased with this Jensen, which allows us to turn off OR ADJUST VOLUME AND BALANCE on speaker pairs A,B, & C INDIVIDUALLY. With the IRV66, ALL THREE speaker zones were energized AUTOMATICALLY and at HIGH VOLUME when we turned the unit on The volume on ALL THREE speaker zones was the same and could not be adjusted individually, and there was no way to control the BALANCE between each pair of speakers. With the Jensen, you not only can adjust volume and balance on each speaker zone's speakers, but also the option for using FOUR speakers (which includes a FADER control as well) for the living area, if the original unit had "home theater". I also used Speaker Zone 2 (which WAS our bedroom speakers) to feed the subwoofer installed in the trailer (which we rarely use), since we do not watch TV or listen to music in the bedroom (we SLEEP in there!! lol!), and the Jensen does not have 5.1 surround sound capability. (In actuality, neither does the IRV, because you can't adjust balance or fade, all you can do with it is MAKE A LOT OF NOISE.) I used polished acrylic (plexiglass) panels to cover the holes left above and below the horizontally-oriented Jensen when the vertically-oriented IRV66 was taken out. We are delighted to get back to a functional JENSEN unit!! Either the first or the last photo shows the vertically-oriented, original-equipment IRV66 (I don't know which order these photos will be arranged in by etrailer's software). We LOVE purchasing from etrailer. Their customer service is tops, and if there is anything wrong with your order or your merchandise, they actually WANT to know about it!! They are some of the best people I have ever dealt with for online purchases. These people are in MISSOURI, and THEY KNOW THEIR "STUFF"!!!

After 1 year, we are still enjoying having our Jensen sound system in our RV. The unit has performed very well, and its capabilities are so much better than the IRV 66 unit that came with the RV. The only trouble we have encountered with the unit occurred on our last RV outing mid-July. Evidently the remote control battery has expired. We were in a remote location, and I did not drive into town to try and locate the hearing-aid type button battery replacement. We only used the TV a couple of times for a short while newsweather, and since the unit is only a few steps from our recliners, it was no big deal to get up if volume, etc., needed to be adjusted. Our last Jensen replacement unit in our previous RV served us well for 9 12 years. We hope to have similar service out of this one. Its really a nice unit, plenty powerful, and very capable, with multiple inputs.

Purchased to replace the Furrion system in our travel trailer. The Furrion was a pain to use, we wanted something with an easy to read faceplate and remote, more intuitive command sets, and decent sound. The Jensen JWM72A fit the bill. Ordered it from etrailer and it was here in a couple days. Installation was straightforward (had to enlarge the opening and make a chart to match up the wiring) and had it installed in about two hours (would have been faster with crimp joints, but I soldered all the connections). Sounds great, all functions work as they should, and looks good. Like with any new technology, it takes a couple hours with the manual to really figure out all the functions, but that's fine. We are very happy with this entertainment system and with the service from Sarah and the etrailer team.

Still working fine, big improvement over the original system.

Item was “in stock” but still took four days to ship. Once shipped, it arrived in a timely fashion. Item was a direct replacement for a Jensen JWM702 that developed numerous problems including no longer playing DVD, not being able to make a Bluetooth connection and no longer sending a signal to the coach speakers during DVD playback (before DVD quit altogether). As it was a direct replacement, installation was quick and easy using the existing wiring harness quick connect. New unit works perfectly. Hopefully it continues to do so.

by:

I haven’t opened the box yet, I was impressed with the quality of the box , and the timing of it arriving. Looking forward to doing the installation, thanks again respectfully Carl Gurley

by:

Great unit. Easy installation.

by:

The stereo seems to work well the DVD Bluetooth seems to work the way it should. The volume however on the stereo is actually a lot lower than the old one

by:

Jensen used to be a really high quality brand but not any longer.
Started out good but didn't last long.

by:

Too soon to review the DVD player itself but I can say the shipping was fast. However, I did not appreciate the UPS driver carelessly tossing the package on my steps. I still gave it 5 stars because this was no fault of eTrailer's. They've done this before a short time ago where I complained to UPS directly but it obviously was a waste of my time sitting on hold for nothing. Maybe making eTrailer aware of the service they're getting might help.

by:

Excellent response and timely shipment of the product. We will fix it and let you know if it worked perfectly. We just recevied it.

by:

The only problem I have is seeing the display. LCD works best in indirect sunlightor shade but nice system. Installs easy.

by:

Our Jensen RV stereo arrived in just 5 days and was over $200 cheaper than ordering from our RV dealer. Installation was a breeze!!

by:

So far so good. I bought this unit to replace my Jenson jwm9a that was used maybe 3 times then crapped out. The 70 is slimmer, easier to use and looks better. Because I was replacing a jensen with a jensen it was basically plug and play. My only problem is what to do about securing it and aesthetics from going smaller. By the way, this was my 1st time ordering from etrailer. They were OUTSTANDING!

by:

etrailer.com was easy to work with and kept me in the loop as to when my product was to be shipped and its delivery date. Product installation was easy since I was upgrading from an older model. The unit is working just fine and no problems that I can report.

by:

we purchased this unit for one of our rv customers. he is extremely happy

by:

Pretty good unit for it's size. You get a lot of function in a single din form factor. However , I had to learn the hard way that the HDMI output (HDMI ARC) on most of these units only support audio output and not video output. Some clarification for us newbies would be great. Install was easy and quick.

by:

Delivered on time. Box a bit beat up but no damage to product. etrailer has always been one of my go tos. Always great! Good prices consistently.

by:

I received the DVD player in excellent condition. I installed it this afternoon and it works great thank you for a great service

by:

Absolutely AWESOME, ... all the way from Tim handling the initial order, staff putting order together n on its way to Orofino, Idaho, ... Love the product, ;) ... Thanks for the NICE EXPERIENCE, ...

by:

Stereo for my RV is excellent. It would have been five stars but I paid for next day air and it arrived four days after my order.

by:

One year later, still runs well especially in extreme heat here.

  • Will the Jensen RV Stereo Part # JWM70A Work with a Batwing Antenna
As long as the batwing antenna on your RV has the standard male antenna jack (see photo) then yes the Jensen RV Stereo part # JWM70A will work. The jack port for the antenna is located on the side of the unit next to the RCA ports. If your batwing does not use the standard male antenna jack and you cannot convert it then it may be time to add a new modern antenna such as the Jensen Antenna part # 44US01R which has both top and side mounts.

If your Jensen RV Stereo # JWM70A isn't fully powering on then the first thing I recommend doing unscrewing it from the wall and removing the fuse to let the system fully reset. While it's out you can also remove the wire harness and check pin 15 to see if you're getting a full 12 volts to the stereo with a multimeter # PT89ZR. You can use pin number 16 for the ground test lead on the meter. If you're not getting a full 12 volts then the power source or wiring between it and the stereo...

  • Recommended Replacement For A Jensen JWM1A RV Stereo System
The Jenson JWM1A requires an 11.03" wide x 2.89" tall cutout hole so it will be slightly larger than the Jensen RV Stereo # JWM70A, which requires a 9.03" wide x 2.94" tall cutout hole. The pins are slightly different between the two wire harnesses so you would have to splice in the new wire harness as well. Of the options we currently have available the # JWM70A is going to be the closest fit but will require some modifications to the cutout hole in order to fill in the gaps on the sides...

I would first check to make sure all of the inputs on the back of the stereo are secure. If they are and you have performed the factory reset then your best option would be a full replacement. Yes, it does. The HDMI input on the Jensen RV Stereo item # JWM70A is located on the left side next to the red and white RCA ports. It may be a challenge to plug a Firestick into the HDMI port considering it's location. You'll most likely need to use that little extension cord Amazon provides unless you've got quite a bit of space where you're installing the unit.
