Marker Light Side Cameras

Marker Light Side Cameras

Designed for use with the Furrion Vision S wireless RV backup camera systems (FOS05TASF and FOS07TASF - sold separately), these marker light side cameras are the ultimate upgrade for your RV's side marker lights. They give you the same DOT compliant marker lights with the added benefit of waterproof side cameras with LED night vision and motion detection. The cameras enhance visibility and minimize blind spots by giving you a wide 65-degree viewing angle. They also have detachable light covers for easy access to replace your bulbs.

Infrared LED Night Vision

LED Night Vision

Each camera has 12 infrared LED night vision lights that produce a clear, quality picture and give you the flexibility to back up your RV in low-light conditions at dusk or in complete darkness at night.

Motion Detection

When used with your Furrion Vision S wireless RV backup camera system (sold separately), the motion detect feature on the system's monitor allows you to set the motion sensitivity level of your cameras to low, medium, or high. On the low setting, your cameras will not detect a pesky raccoon until it's very close or already in your garbage, whereas on high setting, they will detect the raccoon approaching from further away. Your monitor will automatically illuminate to alert you once motion is detected.

Work great very wide angle.
covers two
lanes.

Great product! Easy to install and works great . The picture is very clear and system was easy to pair up with my rear view camera. Instructions were very clear. I do wish the wires were longer . I chose to install above existing light as I wanted the camera higher than the factory lamp was located.

by:

Works great and was easy to install, excellent safety device

by:

Work great. Easy to install. No issues syncing with monitor.

One camera failed but Furrion quickly replaced under warranty. Furrion was easy to deal with. Honestly, I dont use the side cameras. My mirrors can be set to see both sides of my 5th wheel. So these are just a nice to have rather than a neccessary item. The rear view camera I count as a requirement.

by:

We wanted these for our new 5th wheel that was prewired for them. It was cheaper to upgrade our 4.3 backup monitor to The 7” and add the side cameras versus buying a new setup.

by:

Everything went smoothly and received the product in just a few days. It took less than 30 minutes to install both cameras after watching an online from strainer.

by:

Installed them today. My 5th wheel was pre wired so I just had to add on the cameras to the existing side marker lights. They had a plug there in the cameras place. Did notice you had to have the truck hooked up to the 5th wheel in order to get power to the cameras. Then the pairing to the monitor was very easy.

Amazing! We pull a 39 5th wheel with our dually as if its not there! It was easy to assemble and fit perfectly into our new trucks puck system! We bought the size bigger than we needed, works great!

by:

These cameras have very good images.
Be
aware when you place them as Awning Arms vs camera location can restrict your view. They work well in all light conditions and take the worry out of what is there behind & beside, especially on the Offside. Furrion’s Prodcut support is excellent should you need it. Install & pairing are relatively easy.
Adding these camera’s to the review/backup just completes the all round view.

Would not be without them. Makes maneuvering easier and Mike eases directions from spotter.

by:

Never got them to work like they should before we traded the RV. It had something to do with trucks running light voltage on my 2021 GMC Denali being too low. It could be fixed using a relay and powering them from the trailer batteries and using the truck lights to trigger the relay. But since we decided to trade the rig I didn’t bother adding the relays. They did work well when I tested them being powered directly off the trailer battery. The trucks cameras are so good if I had to do it again I probably wouldn’t buy them. BUT if you don’t have side cameras on your truck you will like them.

by:

Bought the side marker light cameras & rear view camera for a new 5th wheel that we took on a 2 1/2 month; 11,000 mile trip. One of the side cameras malfunctioned but was replaced at no cost to me. The rear view camera is very useful and works very well. The side cameras are less helpful. I have a better view of what is going on next to me by using the side mirrors. Also, the rear view camera is better at seeing what’s behind me and what is about to pass on either side, it also let’s me know when I can pull back into my lane when I’m passing someone. Although I can have all three cameras displayed on the monitor at the same time, the pictures are so small as to be useless when driving. Switching from from rear view to side view takes attention from driving and several seconds to accomplish. Additionally, the passenger (right) side camera’s view is partially obscured by the arm for one of the awnings on that side.

Having said all that, the side marker cameras work well, but are not as useful as I’d hoped they would be. Knowing what I now know, I probably would not purchase them again.

by:

Extremely happy with the product. Very easy to install and working great. Thank you for good service and speedy delivery.

by:

These are great for providing a wide view of blind spots. This is useful for backing up as well. In my setup, I have to have the lights (or parking lights) turned on for them to work, but that is a minor issue.

by:

Cameras work great. They are every bit as good as the OEM equipment on our car. I drive with them on continuously to be aware of traffic around my 5th wheel.

by:

Easy to install, easy to use, works great! Great customer service by etrailer as well! Really well done!

by:

Excellent cameras. Has great wide angle view. Like the wireless feature. I give the cameras five stars. I just didn't care for the way they shipped the product. Yes you get free shipping, but they ship it UPS then transfer it to the post office which takes an extra two days to get. Should just have left it with UPS delivery only. That's why I gave only four stars.

by:

Easy install, works well on the road and helpful for a little extra blind spot view when backing in.

by:

Very easy install on a 33’ Tralee trailer. But just an FYI, you’ll need to go out and buy your own screws. Otherwise great cameras and good picture. As far as reception I was able to get about 300’ away before I saw the slightest flicker. Definitely buy the 7” monitor for sure! Love doing business with etrailer! My goto for everything.

by:

Just installing them now. Very easy installation. Can't wait to see how they are working going
222
down the road.

by:

Game changer, a little difficult to pair. Turn camera and screen off, try again(3 times=success)! Now they pair, everytime.

by:

Great customer followup Sharon kept me personally informed about the status of my order. I was on a tight schedule, I feel the order was expedited, and delivered a day earlier than promised. Thank you

Failed again, the 3 pin contact between the housing and camera is not water proof. The contacts corrode and the unit fails. Takes about a year to fail.

I am sorry that this unit has failed you. I have gotten in contact with the manufacturer ad they have confirmed that the unit is indeed waterproof and the contacts should not be in the open to get water on them. The side cameras will need replaced. I have sent your information over to them for them to get into contact with you on a possible replacement.

would be nice to have the cameras adjustable but everything is working great

  • Could Cameras of Furrion Vision S Camera System be Active All the Time
The cameras of the Furrion Vision S Systems # FOS05TASF are normally powered by the running light circuit of the trailer wiring. In order to have them on when parked and/or towing you'd have to have them ran to a power source that's on all the time like to a RV battery or to the 12 volt accessory circuit of the trailer wiring. You could put a switch on the battery circuit like you mentioned so that it's only active when you want it to be. It would be a matter of wiring a switch in line...

  • Is It Possible to Turn Furrion Side Camera Observation System into Motion Sensor Camera
You'd have to source a 12 volt motion sensor trigger to wire to the power sources of the cameras in the Furrion side marker light kit part # FCE48TASL so that the cameras only have power when the motion sensor is triggered. While we don't carry motion sensor triggers they are pretty easily found online. You'd need one to basically act as a 12 volt relay. So the sensor would be wired to your RV battery directly through a switch like # D16740 and it would complete the power circuit to the...

  • Can a Furrion Wireless Backup Camera and Observation System Be Used with GM Infotainment System?
I have a solution for you, but GM has made it so that only the IntelliHaul Echo Master cameras are wirelessly compatible with their Infotainment systems and we haven't come across any aftermarket wireless observation system for RVs that can be paired with these sytems. Typically the LED Marker Light RV Side Cameras # FCE48TASL that come in the Furrion Vision S Wireless RV Observation Camera System # FCE48TASL-05 are mounted on the lower side marker lights. On your 2016 Grand Design Reflection 30RLS these are going to be the marker lights just behind your front cap on the 5th wheel over hang. This provides the best view of the blind spots for vehicles. While we do not have a specific spacer for the Furrion Vision Side Cameras # FCE48TASL the 1/2" Spacer # TA25722-90F00 would be a good starting point. We also have it in a 1" Thickness # TA25723-90AD00 depending on how deep your recess is. These spacers already has a 1/2" hole through the center of it for running the wiring, and its polyethylene construction is not going to rust out over time. This seems to be a common issue with the Furrion cameras like part # FCE48TASL in the Grand Design trailers according to my research because of the way the pre-wired system was set up. Since your trailer was pre-wired for the camera then it is receiving power from the 12V power source on the trailer and not the running light circuit. The first thing we recommend doing is testing the Side Marker camera # FCE48TASL itself to make sure it is in good working order. You can do a bench test by connecting your ground, then connecting the camera directly to a 12v power source. If the camera powers on like it should, we can narrow down the source of the issue.
