Furrion Cameras Constantly Stay On Even When Unhooked With Grand Design Trailer Pre-wired For Camera
Question:
I have a grand design solitude and purchased the furrion vision s model #fce48tasl . The rv is prewired for these cameras. I installed them and they stay on all the time. Can you help me with that? Forgot to mention that they stay on after I unhook .

This seems to be a common issue with the Furrion cameras like part # FCE48TASL in the Grand Design trailers according to my research because of the way the pre-wired system was set up. Since your trailer was pre-wired for the camera then it is receiving power from the 12V power source on the trailer and not the running light circuit. Normally when the cameras are wired aftermarket the cameras are just wired to the running lights so they only work when the running lights are activated. If the cameras are on even when you unhook the trailer then Grand Design has the pre-wired wires connected to the the constant power source on your trailer like the battery.
I recommend to take the trailer to the dealership to have them trace the wiring to the power source.
