Super easy install without a lift. Second pair of hands makes it easier. I was pleasantly surprised when all bolt holes were on target. Took our time to ensure a good install. Hardest part is figuring where to put compressor (passenger side under bed) and where to mount command console in the truck (inside large glove box). Pictures will be sent when all complete and tested. Bad storm today.

Makes the XL air bags much more convenient. I can't imagine the pain of stopping to fill bags every time they need more air. Money well spent.

by:

I can't really rate this. I could not install it myself, I don't have a lift, I have a bad back, and I hurt myself under my truck.

by:

System works great. Really like it.

by:

Install was simple and the bags enable me to haul a slide in camper and maintain a level PU!!

No matter what I haul or pull. I can maintain a level pickup by simply adding air. Keeps my headlights properly aimed and improves ride quality

by:

Firestone! What more can I say!? They do NOT skimp on steel and they're airbags have decades of production and R&D!They're compressor hits last decades with minimal maintenance!

by:

Awesome product! No more sitting at the gas station trying to fill up my airbags! Just hit the switch and good to go!

by:

Very good set and I would have given it five stars if the gauge had all push on fittings instead of the cheap barbed or ribbed type.

by:

Professional fast delivery pretty much what you would expect from a top notch company

by:

Very easy ordering, took longer than I expected to receive. Etrailer was up front about the deliveries which I appreciated.

by:

  • Difference Between the Standard Duty and Heavy Duty Firestone Compressors
Both the Firestone Level Command II with Standard Duty Compressor part # F2158 and the Firestone Level Command II with Heavy Duty Compressor part # F2219 would technically work with the Firestone Air Bag Kit part # F2535 that you have installed on your vehicle. The biggest difference is that the heavy duty compressor will inflate much quicker.

  • Does Firestone Air Command II Require Air Tank
The Firestone Air Command II part # F2219 does not require a tank. None of our compressor kits actually require a tank but the tank does allow the bags to inflate much quicker but for most people it's not worth the additional cost and space required to install it. This is why this kit and most of the ones we carry do not come with a tank. .

  • Wiring Diagram for Firestone Level Command II On-Board Compressor Kit for Air Bag Suspensions
After a few moments of looking over the instructions provided by Firestone and comparing them to the video, I realized that in the printed instructions, the connections to the relay are not shown which is what is leading to your confusion. There are two black wires and four white wires extending from the rear of the gauge. The white wires are grouped into two bundles. One bundle of the white wires runs to the relay. The other bundle of white wires is combined with ONE of the black wires,...

  • Can The Firestone Air Command II Compressor Kit Be Installed Without An Auxiliary Tank
The Firestone Air Command II # F2219 can be installed without a separate tank. An auxiliary air tank would really only be needed if you were drastically changing the psi in the air springs, otherwise the compressor's 30% duty cycle should last long enough for you to properly air up the springs.

  • Will Cold Temperature Hurt Air Command II Compressor System F2219
I reached out to a representative of Firestone who said that the compressor on the Air Command II Compressor System # F2219 is rated to start without issue at temperatures as low as -20 Celsius (which is -4 Fahrenheit) but there is not any issue with it simply being exposed to the cold. So, in short, it would have to be really, really, really cold for there to be any issue with the Air Command II Compressor System # F2219.

  • Can Compressor & Gauge be Added For Air Bags
Yes, you can get the gauge set up with the compressor for your air bags. Since you already have an air tank, the compressor is all that you'll need: - Firestone Air Command II - Analog Gauge w/ Heavy Duty Compressor - Dual Function - 150 psi # F2219

  • About How Long for Install of Firestone Compressor Kit in Truck by Mechanic
Compressors like the Firestone Air Command II # F2219 shouldn't take an experienced mechanic long at all. I'd say most would charge you right at 2 shop hours to pull off the install but the specific application can vary. The most time consuming part will be running wires and air lines to the interior of the vehicle and then also up to the vehicle battery. I attached an install video for this kit for you to check out as well on a similar Ford truck.

  • No Power Going to Compressor From Relay on Firestone Level Command II on 2010 Dodge Ram
There are a few things you can check to see why you are not getting power from your relay to your compressor. The first and easiest thing to check is to make sure you have a good ground connection from your gauge. If the ground wire is not attached to a suitable surface, then that could prevent power from running through the gauge. The next thing to check would be that the gauge is wired correctly. There should be 6 wires on the back of the gauge 4 white wires and 2 black wires. The 4...

  • Why Does The Level Command II Have A Inflate And Deflate Button On Each Side
The reason why the Level Command II, # F2219 has an inflate and deflate button on each side is because, it is designed to allow you to adjust each air bag independently of the other. This feature for drivers that frequently carry various types of loads in the truck.

These will do a great job of giving your F-250 the support it needs while towing or hauling a particularly heavy load, and the only thing I recommend adding is an air compressor to make maintaining the air bags much easier. For this, the best option for a heavy-duty system is the 150 psi Firestone Air Command II # F2219.
