Wiring Diagram for Firestone Level Command II On-Board Compressor Kit for Air Bag Suspensions
Question:
I watched the install video on this product and looked at the wiring diagram for the back of the control panel and they seem to have a different layout for how to hook this up... On the back of the diagram it shows one set of white wires going to the switch wire from the relay and another set going to the running lights... In the video it shows that one set of white wire get combined with the ground on the back of the controler and then the running lights get connected to one of the black wires... this makes me very confused as to which way to go... thanks for your time

After a few moments of looking over the instructions provided by Firestone and comparing them to the video, I realized that in the printed instructions, the connections to the relay are not shown which is what is leading to your confusion.
There are two black wires and four white wires extending from the rear of the gauge. The white wires are grouped into two bundles. One bundle of the white wires runs to the relay. The other bundle of white wires is combined with ONE of the black wires, and is grounded to the underside of the dash as shown in the video. The remaining black wire is connected to an illumination circuit (we used the running light circuit accessed at the 7-way trailer connector at the rear of the truck as shown in the video).
The procedure shown in the video is correct. I have put together a diagram showing the proper electrical connections including the connections to the relay. Hopefully, this will make things more understandable for you.
