Today we're going to take a look at the Camco 50 amp RV power defender circuit analyzer. This circuit analyzer will plug into your 50 amp receptacle at an RV park to test for improper wiring. This is a 125 volt circuit analyzer which will help protect your RV from improperly wired electrical boxes and power surges. Right up at the top here there's four diagnostic lights which will indicate faults before you even connect your 50 amp electrical cord so that you can avoid damage to your RV. Right down here on the bottom is a chart that'll show you, when lights are showing, what the problem might be. If you notice on each end here, they have built in power grip handles. Makes unplugging very easy.
Right up here, this is what'll plug in. This is the 50 amp male end. This will plug into your 50 amp receptacle. Right down here is the 50 amp female end. This is what'll connect to you RV's 50 amp electrical cord. If you notice both ends, the plugs are yellow.
It makes it easy to see in any low light conditions. The box here is a weather resistant PVC and polycarbonate which will protect any electrical components. Overall length on this item, from end to end, is 27 and a half inches and the wire gage used in this is three six-gage and one ten-gage wire. This product proved it’s worth this spring. At a large RV Resort we were experiencing problems with our inside electrical outlets and water heater (on electricity setting) - I checked the Camcorder Power Defender and it showed that they electrical box had issues. Maintainance came and fixed box - we were good to go. The unit protected and informed. Definitely provides a sense of security.
Product arrived on time and used it the next day. So far performing just fine. Etrailer staff very helpful.
Bigger than expected, but it worked when I tested it on my 50 amp receptacle.
This is a must have to ensure no damage to your RV’s electrical system. Campgrounds can be unpredictable and this dogbone attachment is a layer of safety that should be a top priority for all campers. It works perfect as designed and I highly recommend this circuit analyzer.
I had done a previous order with e-trailer which was excellent service and mailing and receiving the 5th wheel tailgate was right on time . I dealt with pat c. this time and she was very helpful. I purchased a CAMCO surge protector..55313..for the 5th wheel .I haven't used it yet but will be very soon. again, the service rep did a wonderful job helping me to decide..the item arrived as stated..i will purchase items in the future from e-trailer...great service and quality items
Got product in a timely manner, only didn't know which carrier it on. Very satisfied
The product was shipped in a timely manner and in a sturdy box for a good price. It is hard to tell if a surge protector is working , but after a year we have had no electrical issues with our trailer since using. So i would have to say I am pleased with the product and etrailer.
Just bought a new RV that uses 50 amp power. Too early to tell operational issues, but the build quality is rugid. Before this we bought a 30 amp surge protector from Etrailer by Camco and used it for 3 years with no problems. Even went through a few thunderstorms and power outages with no damage. We feel confident that this 50 amp surge protector will perform similarly.
The step rugs, tire pressure gauge & surge protector were received promptly & are exactly as pictured and described. I am very satisfied & will not hesitate to to use etrailer again!
Feel much better with this being utilized. The day this was delivered and I was plugging it in I noticed one of the electrical legs was fried and didn’t know it. Sure don’t want any issues with our new fifth wheel
The easy set up to protect my unit from unknown electrical issues before and after hookup, I secure with cable locks to deter theft.

Great
Just received. Huge compared to tiny 30 amp unit. Trailer is 30 amp but a few places we are visiting this year are 50 amp pedestals. Cheap insurance to prevent frying trailer electrical systems.
A must have on your RV. This one is heavy duty and great quality. Great, fast delivery from e trailer.

Great product. Peace of mind knowing RV is protected against power surges.
It is larger than expected, but not a problem stowing for travel. With the investment in this product, I plan on securing it once it is plugged in . I do feel more at ease knowing we are protected from power surges. All it takes is one storm and a lightening hit near by to really hurt the electronics in the camper. That gets expensive.
Just like described, now I can plug in my 50 amp trailer and check circuit's, and make sure power is sufficient.
