Couldnt camp without it !! .... Put in service every time I camp at 30amp sites to connect my 50amp trailer. (Connect my 30 amp.surge protector to my 50 amp power cable)... yes, I travel with 2 surge protectors..... Adapter plugs fit tight with no issues. And like the red color making them easy to find in the electrical storage bin.

Nicely build- love the handle as it makes disconnecting easier. Haven’t had it on load so hoping it won’t melt like the other brand did on the 30 amp plug

  • Comparing 50-Amp RV Service to 30-Amp RV Service, 4-Prong Plug Vs. 2-Prong
The Mighty Cord RV Power Cord Adapter, # A10-3050D90VP is used to adapt your RV's 4-prong 50-amp power inlet for use with a 30-amp 3-prong extension cord/Power Pedestal. A 50-amp plug has four prongs with two of them providing 50-amps of power each. But the 30-amp RV service with 3-prongs only has one prong of power, one power wire from the 50 amp is not used. The big difference to note between 50-Amp RV service and 30-amp RV service is that the 30-amp RV set-up provides a nominal 3,600...

  • Surge Protector When Using Adapter to Connect 50 Amp Camper to 30 Amp Service
In order to plug a 50 amp camper into a 30 amp hookup at a campsite you will indeed need an adapter, for which the Mighty Cord # A10-3050FHVP will work perfectly. With this particular setup you would still want to use a 50 amp surge protector like # CAM55313 for one time surge protection or # CAM55306 that will automatically reset and can be used again and again. Since your camper is rated for 50 amps you just have to protect against surges over this, so you wouldn't need to lower the...

  • Are There Shorter 50 Amp Female To 30 Amp Male Power Cord Adapters
The only 50 amp female to 30 amp male adapters we currently offer under 25' in length would be about 12" in length like the Mighty Cord RV Power Cord Adapter - 50 Amp Female to 30 Amp Male - 12" Long # A10-3050FHVP. We do carry smaller 50 amp or 30 amp extension cords that you could use like the Mighty Cord RV Extension Cord - 50 Amps - 10' Long # A10-5010EH. You could use the # A10-5010EH to connect to your trailer and then the # A10-3050FHVP to connect to the shore power pedestal.

  • Recommendations for 50A Service to 30A and 15A Services, and a Secured Surge Protector
We definitely have some parts you can use for your application but none of them come in an all-inclusive kit. For a 50A to 30A service I recommend the Mighty Cord # A10-3050FHVP. For a 50A to 15A service I recommend the Mighty Cord # A10-1550. Please note when you are pulling power from pedestals that are rated for less power than your camper you'll need to keep track of how much power you're using so you don't overload the pedestal. I've attached a link to a helpful article about power...

The Mighty Cord RV Power Cord Adapter - 50 Amp Female to 30 Amp Male - 12" Long Item # A10-3050FHVP is for hooking up to the male 50 amp cable coming from an RV and plugging into a 30 amp female outlet in the power pedestal at your destination.

  • Recommended 30 Amp Supply To 50 Amp RV Adapter And Surge Protector
For your 2018 Wildcat 262RGX with 50 amp service, I recommend the Camco RV Power Defender Circuit Analyzer Dogbone - 125V - 50 Amp # CAM55313. This will prevent your system from a surge that could hurt your trailer's electrical components. This needs to be run behind your adapter when using a 30 amp service, but can be plugged directly into your power supply when a 50 amp service is available. For your adapter, I recommend the Power Grip RV Power Maximizer - 50 Amp Female to 15 Amp...

  • Can You Chain Different Amperage RV Power Cord Adapters
Yes, if you like you can chain together the Mighty Cord RV Power Cord Adapter - 50 Amp Female to 30 Amp Male # A10-3050FHVP with the 30 Amp Female to 15 Amp Male # A10-1530HVP. However, it would probably be easier to just go ahead and use the Mighty Cord RV Power Cord Adapter - 50 Amp Female to 15 Amp Male # A10-1550.

You can hook up your 50 amp RV to a 30 amp power source so long as you have an adapter like the Mighty Cord RV Power Cord Adapter - 50 Amp Female to 30 Amp Male # A10-3050FHVP. • Can I Use the Champion 4,500-Watt Dual Fuel Portable Inver # CH44FR to Get 50 Amp Service to My RV
We do have an adapter you can use to connect the Champion 4,500-Watt Dual Fuel Portable Inverter Generator# CH44FR to your amp service in your RV. You will need to use the # A10-3050FHVP which will give you a female 50 amp plug to connect to your 50 amp RV power cord. Keep in mind these adapters only power 1 leg of your electrical panel so if you are needing to run 100% of your panel you need to go with a larger generator with a built in 50 amp plug like # 333-H05751.

  • Can RV with 50 Amp Socket use 30 Amp Service at Campground
Yes, you can use your RV that has a 50 amp outlet with a 30 amp power source by using the dog bone adapter like the part # A10-3050FHVP. You'd just have to make a note that you have a lower amount of amperage available for your accessories. The # CAM55301 that you referenced can be used and will help prevent you from drawing more than 30 amps.

Yes, we actually have a nice selection of plugs and cords that allow you to hook up your Thor RV with a 50 amp outlet to camp grounds that only offer 30 amp service. I specifically recommend the Mighty Cord # A10-3050FHVP, which features a 90-degree female connector that makes it easier to plug into the RV with less strain on the cord itself. • When Going from 30 Amp Power Source to 50 Amp RV What Power Amperage Circuit Protection is Needed
You want circuit protection to protect your RV's wiring which is rated for 50 amp....so you'd want to go with 50 amp circuit protection. For that we have the part # CAM55306 which automatically resets or the part # CAM55313 which is more like a fuse and is internally damaged and needs to be replaced in the event of a surge. To adapt this to a 30 amp power source you'd want the part # A10-3050FHVP and you'd be set.

You can use the Mighty Cord RV Power Cord Adapter - 50 Amp Female to 30 Amp Male - 25' # A10-3050EDBK to transition over or could use a smaller adapter like part # A10-3050FHVP if you want to still use your current power cord and just make the...

Yes you can plug a 50 amp RV into a 30 amp power source using an adapter like the # A10-3050FHVP. You would need to be sure that you do not draw over 30 amps though as the power source would not be able to provide the needed amperage.

The Power Grip RV Power Maximizer - 50 Amp Female to 15 Amp Male and 30 Amp Male # CAM55025 has independent wiring connected to the 50 amp Female end. When you plug in the 30 amp male, there will not be 30 amps of power going to the smaller 3 prong male connector as that would give you a live circuit exposed to the elements. • Can You Use A 30 Amp Voltage Booster On A 50 Amp Service Trailer
No, you should always purchase a voltage booster that matches the amperage of the trailer. A voltage booster doesn't increase the voltage like the name would imply. It's simply there to ensure the current stays steady to ensure the safety of your trailer's electrical components and will cut the power if it drops or rises above a safe level. You'll never get 50 amp service out of a 30 amp pedestal using a voltage booster. Not having 50 amp service is simply going to limit the amount of...
