Nice adaptor, can keep plug in/charging while in storage without bulky 50amp cord

by:

The product was excellent but used. I received it in the original packaging that had been opened and the item removed then replaced. Per your policy electrical items can not be returned. I should have never received this item. Due to a time constraint on our part I kept the item. Luckily the item worked.

I am sorry that your product seemed disturbed. It also could have been the product that we take out of the package to shoot a video with dimensions and to talk about the product. Here is the video:

by:

I ordered this adapter so I could connect my 5th wheel to a 30 amp outlet using a heavy duty electrical cord. I also order the adapter for the 30 amp outlet. It worked great when I connected to the trailer to charge the batteries and run the refrigerator. It doesn't have enough power to run the A/C but that's okay.

etrailer representative called me at home to tell me they had a back order on one item. It would be about two weeks before they got the part and another week for delivery.

I am very pleased with the service and would use them again.

by:

Pleased with the product. Despite working as promised with perfect fitment, I almost gave it a 4-star. I'm concerned about the polymer being red on an outdoor product. Typically red plastics fade terribly in the sun, so I'll be watching. I so wish they had just used UV resistant black polymers and avoided the flashy stuff. Also, package looks really dated and cheap.
Again, product seems to have great initial quality, and it was the only product on the market (I could find) that had a 90deg 50-amp end, converting to a 110/120V 15-amp male end.
I use this for my large car hauler to power a dehumidifier over the winter. Strongly recommend this item.

by:

Very well crafted product and it appears to be a very heavy duty cord adapter. Item was a good price for good value and it was shipped most expeditiously. It will allow me to leave the large heavy 40 pound extension cord at home since I won't be using my A/C. I can use a good light 120 volt rated 12 gage extension with this adapter.

by:

Great product. I really liked the fact that when you plug it into the trailer it actually hangs straight down towards the ground. Takes a lot of weight off the trailer plug in socket and I use it to keep my trailer batteries charged.

by:

When attached to the trailer the adapter was at the 2 o'clock position. It was not straight down (6 o'clock) as one would have assumed it would be. Electronically I am sure it would have worked fine. Just a bad design flaw.

by:

Use it all the time at home since I do not have a 30 or 50 Amp hook up near my camper.

by:

I store my 5th Wheel trailer inside a large garage with electrical service. This adapter works perfectly to hook up my 30 amp power while in storage. It is light weight but made of tough plastic and strong rubberized connectors. When I need to charge my batteries or spend time in the trailer relaxing, this adapter works perfectly and has performed with out a problem.

by:

Looks good . Will use this when the camper is parked by the garage

by:

works great

by:

This is exactly what I needed! This adapter makes it a LOT easier to hook up to the extension cord in the garage to recharge our 5th wheel batteries - no more messing with the heavy black 50-amp cord just to recharge in the driveway.

by:

Plug works great, so far. Use it all year while my 5th wheel is at home.

by:

Mighty Cord has always been the recognized name when it comes to adapters. Quality Construction gives it the name it deserves.

by:

Thanks Rose, It showed up this morning (Sunday) , it is plugged in and working as expected.
Thank you for the fast service, I have already put the big 50 amp cord on the cord reel till we go camping.

by:

Fits perfectly on my Jayco. Packaging was great too. I like the green indicator light that lets you know its charging. Now we don't have to lug out the 50 Amp anaconda wire at home!

by:

Product was delivered quickly, well made, and is exactly what I wanted.

by:

Fits perfect, now I don't have to pull out the big cord for storing my 5th wheel.

by:

Works great! Very easy to use, perfect fit and seems well made. Really like the light on top to let you know you have a solid connection to a power source.

by:

Works as advertised. Keeps me from having to drag out my 50A power cord every time I want to get the refrigerator cool and charge the batteries.

by:

Makes it so I can keep batteries active when parked and a low heat in camper without having 50 amp service plugged in

by:

perfect for when camper is in storage

by:

delivered as stated, simple product and worked as expected, makes keeping the batteries up and low load situations, using it as my storage hook up

by:

Great part. Just what I was looking for to plug my 50Amp camper in at home with out dragging the huge, heavy 50Amp cord out to do so.

by:

Great product!!
Customer service is
beyond great!!! Amazing service/emails I will buy all my trailer stuff from here. Cudos to George

  • Adapter Needed To Connect to House Power On Car Hauler With 50Amp Twist Lock Connector
The Mighty Cord RV Power Cord Adapter Plug # A10-1550DAVP is all you will need to connect to a standard household extension cord. This will allow you to run up to 15amps to your camper. We also have the dog bone style Adapter # A10-1550D90VP if you prefer to have the easy pull ring on the back of the connector.

  • Can 50 Amp Female Twist Lock Plug Be Removed From Mighty Cord Adapter # A10-1550D90VP
The 50 amp female twist lock portion of the Mighty Cord 90-Degree RV Power Cord Adapter # A10-1550D90VP is molded to the cord and can't be taken off (unless of course you were to simply cut it). The closet option we have to what you are looking for is the Mighty Cord # A10-1550DAVP. This isn't a 90-degree plug but it is just the 50 amp female twist lock outlet by itself with a 15 amp male plug on the other side. I have attached a short video review that you can check out as well.

  • Availability of Adapter for Old Bargman 35 amp Electrical Inlet for Camper
What you have there is an obsolete Bargman 35 amp power inlet. There ARE adapters out there, but they are VERY rare and therefore expensive. I'd recommend removing it and installing a modern 30 amp inlet like part # A10-30INVP along with a 30 amp twist lock extension cord, part # A10-3025ED90.

  • Compatibility of 3 Prong Twist Lock Power Outlet on Power Panel
Thanks for the photos. The plugs are 30 amp twist plugs, but it is obvious the breakers are restricting them to 20 amps. The voltage is 120. You would use an adapter like the Mighty Cord Generator Adapter Plug for RV Power Cord - 3 Prong Twist Lock - 30 Amps A10-G3030AVP to give you the converter for RV power. Alternatively you could use a longer adapter like the Mighty Cord Generator Adapter for RV Power Cord - 30 Amp Female to 30 Amp Twist Lock Male - 12" # A10-G30430VP. If you...

  • Connecting 50 Amp RV to 15 Amp Outlet At Storage Facility for Keeping Batteries Charged
For your particular setup, starting at the RV's 50 amp plug, I recommend the Camco RV 50 Amp Voltage Protector # CAM55306 followed by a power adapter cord like the Mighty Cord # A10-1550D90VP that will plug into the surge protector and give you a 15 amp male plug on the other end. Then from there you will just need an extension cord like the 25 foot # A10-2514E that will reach to the shore power hookup at the storage facility. This extension uses 14 gauge wire so that would be my recommendation...

  • Recommended 4 Prong to 3 Prong Power Adapter for RV
Since you have a 3 prong plug on your trailer, I assume you have a 30 amp system. For adapting to a 4 prong plug you would then use the Mighty Cord Generator Adapter for RV Power Cord - 30 Amp Female to 30 Amp Twist Lock Male - 12" # A10-G30430VP. If you instead want to connect to a 50 amp 4 prong plug then you will use adapter # A10-5030FBK. We don't have any female to female adapters to if you need a longer cord you will simply use an extension.

  • Can Mighty Cord 90-Degree RV Power Cord Adapter be Plugged into 20 Amp GFCI Receptacle
The Mighty Cord 90-Degree RV Power Cord Adapter # A10-1550D90VP referenced in your question will connect to the 50-amp, twist-lock power inlet on your RV and plug into a 15-amp extension cord that can be run to an electrical hookup. There should not be an issue powering up a refrigerator but you will want to check the amperage for your A/C unit to see if you will be able to power it up and keep it running with a 15 amp plug. These will typically require more amps than a refrigerator and...

  • Is There A Difference Between The Mighty Cord # A10-1550DAVP And # A10-1550D90VP
No, the only differences between the Mighty Cord # A10-1550DAVP and # A10-1550D90VP are the lengths and angle of the connector. The # A10-1550DAVP is solely just the connectors with no cable and the # A10-1550D90VP just comes with a cable and 90 degree bend to help prevent the cable from getting bent while plugged into the RV. Most people prefer the # A10-1550D90VP because of the 90 degree bend so that's what I would recommend for your situation.

  • Which Prongs On The Mighty Cord RV Power Cord Adapter Are Hot And Neutral
I've drawn up a little diagram below showing where each wire goes on the Mighty Cord RV Power Cord Adapter # A10-1550D90VP. Since this is a 50 amp to 15 amp adapter there's only one power wire running over the 50 amp end. Which one has that wire out of the two I wouldn't be able to tell you without taking the connector apart to see.

Yes, we actually have a nice selection of plugs and cords that allow you to hook up your Thor RV with a 50 amp outlet to camp grounds that only offer 30 amp service. I specifically recommend the Mighty Cord # A10-3050FHVP, which features a 90-degree female connector that makes it easier to plug into the RV with less strain on the cord itself. • Running RV AC Units Off Shore Power
AC units require a minimum of 30amp and if you're running two units you'll need 50amp. You're going to need to run atleast a 30 amp outlet from your house. 30amp is going to require #10 wire and 50amp is going to require #8 wire. I ran a 30amp outlet to the outside of wall of my garage and use an extension cord to it from my camper like Item # A10-3050EHLED. You'll need an 50amp to 30amp adapter coming off your camper to the outlet as well Item # A10-3050D90VP.

  • 50 Amp Twistlock Female to 15 Amp Male Adapter Recommendation
Instead of using two adapter the part # A10-1550DAVP would be a better option as it goes from a 50 amp twist lock female to 15 amp male like you need. Of if you wanted a longer setup the part # A10-1550D90VP is 12 inches long and has a 90 degree elbow. For a straight connector we have the part # A10-1550DVP.
