Adjustment/sliding holes on the driver's side needed to be elongated to line up the opposite side bolt holes, so minus a star. That aside, it's a straight bolt-on. The mounting surface sits flat and true against the frame. No cutting or exhaust hangar removal was required. Impeccable service from etrailer.

Product arrived in a few days, bought the Curt hitch, like the idea of three bolts each side versus two. Super easy install on my Vitara, removed tow hook, cleaned bolt holes, chassis was already clean, lifted in place with buddy, some blue loctite and a torch wrench. Beer-thirty was started
Super happy, no trimming of rear bumper. Wa-la!
Prefect fit for my Kuat Pivot and NV 2.0

by:

Yes the product worked great.
Thank

2008 Suzuki Grand Vitara

Ordered The hitch for my wife's Suzuki Grand Vitara. After fighting with some rusty weldnut threads for a little while the hitch went on without a "hitch" (no pun intended). Needed to use an aligning punch and/or pry bar to get all bolts started, but overall install was very simple for a DIY'er with some mechanical experience.

Ensure you install the washers the correct way! The instructions dont mention this, but they are directional. The little "teeth" on the washers should be in contact with the hitch itself.

Did you have the hatch mounted spare tire? If you did. Did you have to trim the lower bumper fascia or does it miss it?No trimming required is what I was told by the etrailer people but please let me know?

Quick shipping, went on easy, fit well and very pleased with the service. Thank you

I have a 2014 Grand Vitara which has the number plate in the middle of the bumper. When installing, some places must be cut from the bumper.

by:

So easy to install. Directions said about 45-minutes. I probably spent 30-35 minutes.
Curt is a great hitch and etrailer.com had a great price.

2007 Suzuki Grand Vitara

No complaints. I got what I ordered at a very reasonable price (the lowest i could find after a very extensive search) and sooner than i expected. The hitch had busted through the box but it was in perfect shape and i cant place the blame on etrailer.com as others have done in their reviews because i know how the usps/ups/fedex people handle packages and its not exactly with tender loving care. Besides that, i could tell that the hitch did fit exactly in the box it just looked like it had been thrown around and because of its weight, had just poked its way through the cardboard. The instructions were very clear and the hitch went on my vehicle with great ease as did the wiring harness. I had a very good experience with etrailer.com and have been singing their praises to my friends and family. If and when i need another hitch or towing accessories I will not hesitate to use etrailer.com again. Thank you for making my shopping experience a very pleasurable one.

by:

I am completely satisfied with the trailer hitch and wiring harness that I purchased from etrailer.com. With etrailer.com, I was able to get everything I needed to connect a trailer to my vehicle. Etrailer had the best price I could find on the Internet and a product that works wonderfully every time I use it.

by:
2010 Suzuki Grand Vitara

Hitch arrived on time and was in good shape. Went on easily. Wiring harness fit fine, but remove the entire driver side wheel cover in back (one additional clip and the second row passenger seat belt bolt). If not, when you pull the cover back enough to get access for drilling and mounting the grounding screw and control module you will crack the cover in the middle. Over all very good product and fit my vehicle well.

by:

The folks at E Trailer were very helpful! The product that I ordered was priced reasonably and arrived early! I highly recommend E Trailer for any needs. This, after a very frustrating go -round with UHaul.
The only issue that I had was: One side of the hitch was sticking out of the box when it arrived and looked slightly bent, which, upon installation, it was. This obviously happened in shipping. I was able to bend the part back and all went well. It took an extra half hour to install, but that isn't the fault of E Trailer.

2012 Suzuki Grand Vitara

I recently got a hitch for my 2012 Grand Vitara. Delivery was super fast. As described by other reviews, hitch arrives protruding from box (this comes in to play). Installation at first was irritating because driver's side holes would not line up. I recalled previous review about item being bent during shipping. I saw driver side did seem to be tweaked a little. I laid hitch on level ground, took a pipe wrench and used it like a vise. I stood on it to bend it just enough to square it back up. Worked like a charm. Then it went on very easily.
I am very happy with look and fit. I will only use it for bike racks but on larger vehicle I'm sure will do fine for towing.

2006 Suzuki Grand Vitara

Excellent service. Quick shipping. A pleasure shopping from you. Thank you

by:

Price was the best I could find. Ordered extra wiring and got free shipping. Etrailer gave me the free upgrade to ship in 3 to 5 days. Arrived on day 4. The only negative was the packing. It was put in a large box with out any way to stop the hitch from moving around. UPS came with hitch sticking out at one end of the box. UPS dropped the box and slightly bent one end of the hitch which was not visibly noticeable until I went to install it. I had to mess with it a little to get all the bolts in. Hitch is High quality. Etrailer service is great. No issues really. Would highly recommend this hitch and Etrailer.

Suzuki

My only problem was that some of the threads in the bolts were
rusty (you warned me about that) and had to be cleaned out. I used HOPPES gun slick and a 12 gauge brush on a drill and it did the job. The hitch fits and looks great! haven't had the opportunity to use it yet. I pull my Suzuki behind my motorhome and I may
never use it, but I have it if I need it. Bob Curry

2008 Suzuki Grand Vitara

Got hitch timely, fit perfectly and with the help of my son (definitely a two person job) easy to install. By the way bought this both for towing and for attaching hitch bike carrier.

by:

I received the hitch on time and in great condition. My efforts to get my wife to install it failed so it was up to me. Everything bolted up perfectly my only problem was getting up after the work was finished. It would be nice if you could include a drop light and reading glasses since I am 71 years old.

by:

This was an awesome experience for me. I had questions and they were answered quickly and thoroughly. The package came with no damage as reported in other reviews. Easy to follow directions. Easy to put on. Regarding the wiring, as with other reviews, wish it was longer but is adequate for the job. I would recommend this site for my friends and anyone else that is looking to purchase car parts.

by:

Not much to say. My car was set up for a hitch. I just had to run the bolts up to the nuts already welded in the frame. It fit perfectly and it was delivered to my door way earlier then expected. Thank You for that.I am well satisfied and will do business with you again if I need another one of your products.
Thank You
Joe V.

Great in all ways. Good price. FAST delivery. Perfect fit. Easy job. Would suggest purchase of appropriate tap (12 1.25 in this case) so all bolts go in properly. Will use etrailer again!

I have not had it installed yet but the price was great and the fact that you don't have to drill the frame is a plus the shipping was spot on

Elcellent service. The hitch fit with no problems. I will definately do business wit E Trailer again.

  • Long Ball Mount Recommendation for a 2011 Suzuki Grand Vitara and 2013 Rockwood A122S
For your 2011 Suzuki Grand Vitara and Curt hitch # C13001 you can use any ball mount rated for a Class III, 2 inch trailer hitch. The recommended ball mount for the hitch and vehicle is # D-4 and it measures 8-1/2 inches from the center of the hitch pin hole to the center of the ball hole. For a longer ball mount with the same 3/4 inch rise and 2 inch drop you can go with # D-4 which measures 10-1/4 inches long. Ball mount # D-26 is 12-5/8 inches long. And finally there is # BM20 which...

  • What Hitch will Fit 2006-2008 Suzuki Grand Vitara
Part # 75118 will not fit your 2006-2008 Suzuki Grand Vitara. I would recommend the Curt Class III Receiver Hitch, part # C13001. If you needing a wiring harness for trailer lighting, we offer the Curt Vehicle Wiring Harness, part # 56002. I will provide links to the install instructions for both the hitch and the wiring harness.

  • 2012 Grand Vitara License Plate Holder with rear mounted spare
According to Curt, the fascia mounted license plate holder of your 2012 Grand Vitara will not interfere with the installation of the # C13001 Class III receiver. Fascia trimming is only required on Grand Vitara models that have the spare tire under the vehicle, not on the rear hatch. If you were planning on using the hitch for towing purposes, you might need the following to complete your towing system: Ball Mount, part # D-4 Hitch Pin and Clip, # PC3 Trailer Wiring Harness, part # 56002 2...

  • Recommended Method to Transport 2 Bikes on 2010 Suzuki Grand Vitara
The best way to transport bikes on your 2010 Suzuki Grand Vitara is to install a trailer hitch like Curt Class III hitch # C13001 and to then use a hitch-mount bike carrier. The advantages of using a hitch-mount rack are higher overall bike/weight capacity than any spare-tire-mounted rack, the ability to use the hitch for other items such as a cargo carrier # C18151 or for towing, and that your bike rack's and bikes' combined weight is carried by the vehicle's frame - it's strongest part. • Installation of Trailer Hitch and Wiring on a 2008 Suzuki Grand Vitara
According to the directions, the Curt Class III Hitch # C13001 you were looking at will avoid contact with the muffler.
