This T-connector wiring harness uses your factory tow package to add a 7-way socket in your truck bed while also retaining the use of the 7-way at your vehicle's bumper. The harness plugs into the back of your 7-way at the bumper and also into your factory wiring. And it provides 10 feet of cord to run the second 7-way connector to your truck bed. Installing a second 7-way connector in your truck bed makes it easy to connect the 7-way plug from your fifth-wheel or gooseneck trailer.

This wiring harness is ideal for cutting in a trailer plug for your fifthwheel
I had it installed within an hour of delivery. Great job e-trailer!

The trailer wire bundle is a perfect fit and is like new after many connects this past year. I highly recommend.

Just purchased a new to me 2020 Ram 3500. Surprisingly, this truck had no towing components other than just a receiver hitch. I ordered the B&W Turnoverball Underbed Gooseneck Trailer hitch and Hopkins wiring harness. Super easy to install yourself. I want to give Amy at etrailer a huge shout out for her excellent communication starting with the ordering process to final delivery. etrailer will definitely be be my go to source.

by:
Ford F-350 Super Duty

Received the harness just as described and on the same day as expected. Great product from etrailer! With minimal modifications, I will use the harness to connect my Lance truck camper to my F350 truck.

by:
2019 Chevrolet Silverado

The wiring harness was an easy install on my 2019 Chevy Silverado 2500HD LTZ Duramax diesel. Shipping was quick to the Pacific Northwest. The cord length is perfect for a custom placement. Looks like a factory installation with 100% positive tests when hooked up to the fifth wheel trailer.

by:
2018 Keystone Cougar Half-Ton Fifth Wheel

This was something I wanted to do for awhile and Now it's in and I couldn't be happier. The ease of pulling in the truck was awesome.

by:
2014 Dodge Ram Pickup

I have a 14 Ram 6.7 without the convenient in bed plug-in for connecting my 5th feel connection. Always had to drape it over the tailgate.

A medium sized hole saw, some zip ties, and this harness did the trick

Had this on my truck for a year now, still working perfectly. This is clearly a quality product.

by:
2023 Ford F-350 Super Duty

Everything works as stated. I'm very happy with the harness

by:

The install was very straightforward and the quality seems top notch. I'd recommend these products to anyone. I'll be purchasing a sidewinder pin box to complete this once our new fifth wheel arrives.

Installed this when I bought a truck camper. It was plug and play at the factory Ford end. I needed a 7-way at the front, driver's side of the bed for camper hookup. A little drilling and some hardware install and it works great at the front of the bed. I cracked the cover, no fault of Hopkins brand.

After a year, this product has been great. Worked as described and was plug and play at the rear factory Ford end.

1/18/2024

That is not good at all! There are couple of things it could be. Do you have the camper connected and are trying to haul a trailer as well? It could also be that the wiring is bent or corroded somewhere on the new harness or the vehicles wiring.

by:

Simple install. Mounting socket seems built well and heavy duty.

by:

My package was damaged in transit and the hitch ball was missing. Customer service was awesome and very quick to make it right.

by:
2004 Chevrolet Silverado 2500

Great product. Installation time was ten to fifteen minutes even with cutting the hole in the box. This is an excellent kit overall. The zip ties that came with it were a little small, so I used my own. It would be nice if the kit came with the ground screw. I would recommend this product to anyone. I installed it on my 2004 Chevy 2500 HD.

The product is still working great a year later

Josh did a great job! I had a few questions and he was very knowledgeable. I had something that was on backorder and kept me in the loop. He has also sold me a set of Firestone air bags. I installed it alm this weekend and everything we talked about was correct. The bags reduced my sag and I am more than happy to tell all my friends about Josh and how he’s been my go to guy! Thanks!!!

by:

2013 Ford F250.
Easy install.
Installed
on side of bed.
Won't have to worry about tight turns and pulling on the plug or pulling it out. It was previously mounted on the under the bumper.
Everything went together smoothly.
All parts and accessories were in the box, didn't need anything extra.
Had the entire install done in about 20 minutes.

Thanks for a super product.

2002 Ford F-350 Super Duty

Just like all the products I’ve purchased from etrailer over the years, it is a well made product.

by:
2016 Chevrolet Silverado 3500

Worked as expected. Would like it better if the harness was offered in shorter lengths. The self-tapping screws are very light weight and strip out very easily. The zip ties are too light weight to be of any use, especially if you have 5 feet of extra wire to tie up.

Most of the 5th wheel wiring for the 2016 Chevy Silverado 3500 we offer is about 10 feet long like this one however there is part # 20110 from Draw Tite that is 7 foot long. While shorter it does not have the 90 degree connector like the Hopkins one has

by:

The harness is simple to install with a few tools. Plug and play type of system. So much better than cutting into wire harness the old fashion way. Clean and simple.

2014 Dodge Ram Pickup

It's actually long enough! 2014 Ram 2500 crew cab long bed w/factory hitch, and I installed this plug in the *front* corner of the bed.

Have a truck camper, and its trailer plug is in the front left (driver's) corner. The cord is only about 2' long, so I needed to install a plug in the front of the truck bed. Before ordering, I measured from the factory plug at the trailer hitch over to the rear corner of the bed, then made a 90 degree turn and measured up the frame to the front of the bed. From there, took another 90 degree turn and went vertically to where the plug would hopefully be in the bed. About 12'. Since 10' is the longest I could find, I thought that perhaps I could run the cable more directly and shave off a few feet, and it ended up working. Far easier than custom building a wiring harness.

The final installation route went across the top of the spare tire to the back of the fuel tank, then along the frame until reaching the front of the bed. From there, it traveled up to where the new plug is installed in the bed. There were plenty of points along the way to secure the cable with zipties so it's neat and tidy and not apt to get caught on anything like the rear suspension or spare tire. The cable ended up having a bit of extra length, not much, but a little ... I was glad it wasn't pulled taut!

The install was simple and pretty painless. As others have noted, the zipties that come in the package are a bit too small to really be useful.

This is the second item I have purchased from Etrailer and couldn’t be more happier. The first was a front Jack stand for a fith wheel. Works great, looks great. This new one is a wire harness for a truck bed, side wall mount plug for my fith wheel. Thanks to Julie it was a easy installment. Julie was a very big help. Thanks for all your help.

by:
2003 Chevrolet Silverado

Very satisfied with the quality of the product, installation was straight forward, more than enough wire if you install at the rear of the truck bed.

by:
2011 Chevrolet Silverado 2500

Great product easy install plug n play. Installed on 2011 Chev 2500 hd to pull 5th wheel trailer plugged over tailgate when first bought but got extremely tight on turns and almost unplugged from truck installed in bed of truck no worries now would highly recommend. Great price also 20.00 dollars cheaper than RV store

by:

Arrived quick and installed it today. I bought the ten foot due to using it for a truck camper. Installed on my 2021 Chevy 3500 dually (8 foot bed).

Easy to follow directions and I was able to run it all the way up the driver's side to the new location.

Scariest part was cutting a hole into my brand new truck.

I sprayed the hole with spray bed liner to coat the edges that were just cut. It comes with metal screws that I sprayed black also.

Took about an hour to install.

Since you mentioned your 5th wheel being on the heavy side and towing pretty often with your 2022 Ford F-250, I recommend going with the Firestone Ride-Rite Red Label Air Helper Springs # F95FV. These are rated for up to 7,500 pounds of load leveling capacity at 150 psi and will definitely get the sag out of your rear end. With that said, they can also be deflated down to 5 psi, which will return you to your stock ride. You will also have absolutely no problems installing this with your...

  • Recommended Trucks To Tow Fifth Wheel Trailer
If you want to tow a 5th wheel trailer, the best trucks are going to be long bed 3/4 or 1 tons like a Ford F-250/F-350, Chevy/GMC 2500/3500, or Ram 2500/3500. I also recommend going with a long bed truck so you have enough clearance when making sharper turns. A diesel engine has more towing power and torque, so that may be an option you go for.
