Hi there! I'm Michael with etrailer.com. Today, we're going to take a quick look at this rotary dimmer switch. This is going to be a great option to replace a damaged rotary dimmer switch, or if you are wanting to switch out your switch, currently have a on/off switch, and you just want a little bit more control. This is gonna give you that option. I personally enjoy having dim light in the morning when my eyes are still used to the darkness and they're come and getting adjusted, it's nice to have a little bit dimmer light, rather than that stark bright light that you get when you flip on a switch at full power. So this is gonna be a great option for that.

We just simply turn to turn it on. You can hear it click on, and off. When we get it into that ohm position it's going to be at its lowest power. So if you want just a little bit of light you can just let it stay there. If you want to increase the light you just simply turn the dial to allow it to go up to full power, or then come back down so that you have that dim light again.

So this is going to be a 15 Amp compatible or capable switch on your 12V system. As far as our measurements go, It's right at 3 9/16, just under 3 1/2 inches tall, by, about 2 3/16, wide. And when you get this installed you are gonna need a cutout that's big enough for this box here for the backside. So this is right about 2 9/16 of an inch tall by 1 and 3 1/4 of an inch wide, and so make sure that your cutout is gonna be just slightly larger than that. This is a white color, so it should blend in well, if you have a light switch a white light switch already, should go with your, color scheme in your RV.

They do include a wiring diagram in the packaging to help you get everything setup so that you get the wires connected where they're supposed to be. They also include two screws to get this mounted in place. And then screw covers that kind of finish off the look, give you a nice clean, rounded edge there to cover up those screw holes and screws once you get it installed. So if you are needing a rotary dimmer switch I'd highly recommend this one as a great option for your RV's and campers and other applications. So that's gonna complete our work for today.
